Attn: Folks who have done a Magical Gathering

Hi all! I want some thoughts from those who have had the experience of having a "Magical Gathering" with all their families.

We will be in WDW Oct. 1-8 at BWI. This started out as immediate family and my mom. Then we added my brother and his new wife-never been to Disney before- and now my dh is saying that his mom, brother and nephew want to go as well! That makes 11 in all...

Is is just me or do these magical gatherings get confusing and have the potential of causing problems? I have so many questions in my head- How are we going to keep up with each other? What if I don't want to do what all these other people want to do? What if we want to do lots of nice sit-down meals and everyone else is complaining about the cost of food?

Knowing my relations as I do ( ) , and we are a opinionated bunch, there could be some bumps in the road...

Just wondering how any of you that have done this handled it all. Were you frazzled at the end?

We are sort of having the same thing happen and actually it happened the last time we went too. It was fine though, we didn't stay together the whole time. For the most part, since we have the kids and we were the original ones to go, we told everyone what are plans were for each day and let them decide if they wanted to join us or do something on their own.

I think if you try to do it all together it will be pretty stressful. Good luck and have fun!

can you get the free food package added onto your ressies? that would help solve the problem,,,our magical gathering of 16 is doing that and this way we are planning the sit down meals together,,,,,,
