Hello. I would like to make an announcement to anyone who lives in the Pitteburgh/Western PA area regarding a charity event taking place on August 14, 2004 at Hartwood Acres.
The event is called Walk For Strength. It is organized by a couple that I know who lost their son, Michael, to a brain tumor in 1999. They are holding their fourth annual walk in his memory on 8/14 and all proceeds benefit the Make-A-Wish foundation. They had about 200 walkers in 2003 and have a goal of 300+ walkers for this year's event. So far they have raised $23,000 for Make-A-Wish.
