It's a typical piece of perfect weirdness that had me laughing aloud, called "You're Pitiful" and a parody of James Blunt's "You're Beautiful".

Scuttlebutt is...Mr. Blunt's record company wouldn't okay it's release on Al's next album. However, since parodies have been ruled as not infringing on any rights, nor breaking any laws...Al released it to the masses for freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Everyone dance around.

Actually, with a career spanning nearly a quarter of a century, SIX Platinum (that's Platinum!!!) Records as well as THREE Gold Records and hey, not to mention THREE Grammys, I think he's got a handful of fans out there.

He's also some wonderful original stuff, not just the parodies. If anyone likes "Hardware Store", there's a fan-made Lego vid availablehere.

Kept expecting it to end with him singing to himself in the mirror. Loved it anyway, though.

We were at a wedding reception once and late, late into the night the DJ played "One More Minute" (yes there is a question of whether this is an appropriate song for a wedding reception, but the bride and groom were probably gone by then). There was a whole group of us singing along ("I'd rather spend eternity eating shards of broken glass than spend one more minute with you!") and the DJ was truly impressed, said he'd never encountered such a phenomena before.

the absolute, hands down best concert performer i've ever seen! over 2 hours straight and he wears the costumes from the videos for all of the appropriate songs (how he managed to make those changes boggles me).

took our dd to see him a few years ago-can't wait till he goes on tour around here again!!!!

Are you kidding? A few fans? In this house, Weird Al is the only music we can all agree on! I think the Food Album is our favorite--all that belching!

Personally, I think most of his parodies are better than the original. But of course, the basis for a good parody is a song that's stupid but popular anyway--My Sharona and Stand (in the place that you live) come to mind.
