OK, it's offical. Staff have said it's ok that you can use your everest codes without being banned.

You can play the game now and get a code and enter it... that is unless you dont want an everest room.

Personally, I wouldn't sweat it. Why? Because Episode 2 was released on
the site. Nobody "hacked" to get the game, play the game, or earn the code.

My code didn't work yesterday, so I'm going to wait and read what others
have to say about it.

My Exedition 2 game downloaded today automatically when I clicked the icon on my desk top and it looked for updates. The code didn't work.

Did you play Episode 2 today to generate a new code? From what I'm
reading, codes generated today are working, but "old" codes from last
night aren't. I plan on playing it tonight to get a new code.

I only downloaded it about an hour ago, so yes, it was today. I entered the code for the pin and no problem. I entered the code for the room and nothing. I just played it again. Now I'm entering new codes, so we'll see.

Ok, the 2nd times the charm. That second one worked. The 1st did not.
