LOL-I gotta tell you, seeing my name like that was startling!
Ok- We took a 40minute boat ride to Anguilla from St Maarten. It was rough, very bumpy, rough water. Then, once on land you take a bus ride for about 20 minutes. Inside, you are briefed about the dolphins and how to touch them. There are cubbies to store your stuff. I suggest wearing your bathing suits under your clothes.
Outside, you are given life vests, the kind you wear water skiing. Very substantial vests. We're lined up and then walk down to the tanks. Each group of 10 or so was seated on a side of the pool. To get to out side, we had to swim across the pool.
Half of our group was put in the water and the other half on a platform-facing us about 20 feet away. The trainers had us interact with the dolphins by kissing, stroking and dancing. Then we switched with the ones on the platform. Same thing, this time with photos.
After the encounter, there was a barbecue lunch, which I loved and them we went to the beach nearby, Meades Bay.
We enjoyed it tremendously! At $180 each, it is pricey for a family of four. My DD7 was less I think-about $150. I would have booked this myself, but there was no savings. In retrospect, I'm glad I didn't. Especially with the long rides and the two modes of transportaion. We bought the DVD movies they made of our encounter. Also 5 pictures at about $8 each.
We found the place to be clean, organized, and attractive.
Hope this helps! Any other questions-ask away!
