My DD12 and I are doing WDW 9/27 - 10/4 followed by 4 day DC Wonder 10/5.
She is getting surfing lessons at TL-

QUESTION- can we spend the first half of the day at TL and then bus it over to BB and spend -say- from 1:00 - 4:30 at BB?

Other schedule:
9/27 - Arrive Sprit of Aloha
9/28- MK/Hoop Dee Doo
9/29- US/IOA
9/30- Waterpark day/Mickey's BBQ
10/1- Epcot-Scuba Living Sea-MGM Fantasmic
10/2- MGM- Cirque de Solei
10/3- AK- Epcot Illuminations
10/4- Epcot- Behind the Seeds-MK Spectral
10/5- Cruise

whew!
THANK-YOU- I can barely stop re-figuring the schedule and my DD12 would like me to stop letting her know how many days are left. She is far more concerned about missing school.

If you have a park hopper for the water parks yes you can but if you don't you can't go to both in 1 day. There is so many things to do in each park I would advise not to if you could spare another day. Also going to one pary is tiring, I can't amagin what I would be like after 2 water parks. I went to TL this year and it was a lot of fun you have to go to the wave pool. The waves can get up to 8 feet. It is so much fun. I went to BB last year and the family ride is the best it is miles better than the one at TL.

What an adventurous itinerary! I love it!
I think you can do both waterparks in a day!

When I was at Disney 4 years ago in September, we were only able to spend one day at the water parks and so we opted to split our time between Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon.

We started at Blizzard Beach, did most of the slides, had lunch, and then spent an hour or two in the wave pool. Then I think around 2 or 3 we hopped over to Typhoon Lagoon where we rode the lazy river around to where some of the slides were, rode a couple, then spent the rest of the time in the wave pool until we were ready to leave.

It didn't feel rushed or ambitious to me. By the time we got to Typhoon Lagoon we were a bit tired of climbing up stairs and such to get to slides, but we weren't that impressed with Typhoon Lagoon's slides anyway as compared to Blizzard Beach. We spent quite a bit of time in the two wave pools which was the biggest hit for us.

We liked the slides at Blizzard Beach the best by a large margin (although maybe part of that was due to the fact that our energy level was still high while we were doing the BB slides) and we enjoyed both wave pools but thought the one at Typhoon Lagoon was better because it alternated between both the bobbing waves and the big waves whereas Blizzard Beach just had the bobbing waves. Given that, if/when I go to the Disney water parks again, I'd be tempted to hop between the two again. They're two very different parks with their own strengths and weaknesses so it would be hard to choose between the two if you didn't have the time or inclination to spend a day at each one.

I would recommend water shoes, though. You can buy Disney ones in the parks, but they were pretty expensive. We went without (I'd never even used water shoes before in my life and never gave them any serious consideration) but our feet got very sore walking all over the place in our bare feet and climbing up to the slides. We finally broke down and bought some and our feet felt much better, although some of the damage had already been done.

Thanks for the quick and very helpful advice. We do have park hopper.
Water shoes- great suggestion.
I hope the weather holds up.

We'll post how it went.

what a wonderful itinerary. I agree with BornaBrook, unless we want to do Shark Reef at TL we start at BB for the short AM lines on the great slides and then head over to TL second to do the great wave pool and lazy river. If you want to do Shark Reef, I'd go there first and do that first. They don't rush you at all and you get to go over again a few times first thing. Have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Keep in mind that with a park hopper pass going to TL and BB on the same day will use two plus options. There is no "hopping" between water parks.

Also, you are going to US/IOA on one day. As far as I know there is no park hopping between those two parks. You will need two admission tickets or a multiday pass. Plus, I doubt you could get through too much of both parks in one day. They take at least a full day each (at least to do the big attractions, etc.).

Other than that I think your schedule looks good: very tiring and ambitious, but good.

I was not aware that even w/park hopper and silver package you could not "hop" back and forth between water parks. What exactly does that mean- use two plus options.

What is the downside to Disney- I wonder?

Re: US/IOS in one day- you're right- so we upgraded to the VIP tour 1 day-2 parks which guarantees FOL entry to A attractions. (Also we are going on a weekday- hopefully fairly quiet).

My DD12 is taking a surf lesson first- do they actually "boot" you out of the park and make you re-entry?

Thanks again
