Attention all CHOIR members!!!

If you don't belong to a church choir, this thread my seem a bit odd in mid September. But for those of us who are, it will make perfect sense.


Question Number One:
What musical is your choir doing for this Christmas?

Question Number Two:
When will you be performing it? (Dates)

Question Number Threez:
How many are in your choir? (approx.) Do not include tech crew.

We're doing, "Four Tickets to Christmas". This one has a few years on it but it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun.

We'll be doing it December 12th, 13th and 14th.

We average about 60 for a program like this.

This post is mostly because I'm curious what all the different programs are that, I'm sure, so many of us will be doing. This is JUST FOR FUN not competition. And just in case anyone might be looking for one to attend near where they live.

Not in choir any longer but I do undeerstand. Did Miami Christmas Pageant with my olchurch for 25 years. 2 act show, written for the group specially. The leaders start working towards the show in January and costuming starts in the spring. Choir starts rehearsing in Sept. Show is usually the 2nd week if Dec. (8 performances in an auditorium that hold about 2500) Total attendance around 20,000 people)

Choir is around 200 and total cast around 350 to 400

That would be AWESOME to participate in!!! We've come a long way in the past several years but we're not THAT far yet.

I can just imagine what the Easter programs must be like!

Our church choir doesn't actually do a musical for Christmas--it's a compilation of Christmas songs. It lasted about 75 minutes last year, and I imagine it will be the same this year. I won't be participating this year, as it begins on Dec. 13th (my wedding day) and also occurs on the 14th. Our choir has about 265 members and the orchestra has about 40-50 I would guess.
