Has anyone ever taken two online courses while on the DCP? How did you manage and what classes were they? I'm planning on taking two classes (6 credits) while on the program, and I'd also like to take one of the classes Disney offers. I understand that I will be taking myself away from the parks, but how bad is it? I take online classes now, and neither were too bad. But, there is a math course I want to take online while on the CP.
Any thoughts?:confused3

I had a couple of friends that did online courses while on the program, and they really wished they hadn't. You never know what your work schedule is going to be like. There are some days where you get up, go to work for 12 hours, go straight home and fall asleep right away. During peak seasons there may be weeks when you don't have a day off, depending on where you are located. The parks ARE really distracting.. and not even just the parks. The whole experience of being on the College Program. There is always something going on, whether it be housing events or cast previews.

I looked into it, and the more I thought about it, the more I realized I wanted to really get everything I could out of my program in Orlando. And I felt that I wouldn't have done as good of a job on my class work as I am capable of because of everything that was going on.

If you have to do it and you think you will truly able to prioritize and get it done, then go for it. You just have to be careful and know that school and other things besides Disney will be in the back of your mind during your internship. The program is soooo much fun!!!

I did the CareerStart program and where I worked the hours weren't long, I worked in Hollywood Studios in Mama Melrose! I had a lot of fun while on the program, but I was never super busy/ I'm sure at a different location things will be a lot different :confused3. Thank you for your insight! I'm really not sure what I'm going to do! haha.

I registered for two online classes and dropped one - they were too much work with my schedule. There were many weeks I only had one day off and I was spending that day doing homework and tests.

I took 2 online classes during my second program. I took econ/personal finance & psych. I usually took my books with me to work & did the reading during my breaks. (My breaks & lunch were always combined, so I'd get 45 min-1 hour at a time.) I didn't work until later many days (starting between 2 & 5) so I'd get up and do my other homework, quizzes, etc, before I went to work. A lot of my friends worked mornings, so on my days off, I'd get up around 9 & do homework for a few hours before they got home around noon and wanted to go to the parks. It wasn't as bad as I thought to manage work & school.
