We may have to move our Thanksgiving trip to July due to a major schedule conflict (daughter is auditioning for a show). So I'm already looking at summer dates because it's either that or Spring Break.

Anyway, I'd like to go in July for my birthday, which falls right near the anniversary date. Should we avoid the anniversary week, or does it matter? Is any week in July any worse or any better?

I love having a place to ask these questions that just annoy my husband (but he expects me to have the answer to) :)

I went on the anniversary day last year (2011) and it was not anymore crowded than any other summer day at Disneyland, except the crowds near the flag pole and on Main Street when they had the ceremony (which is short but pretty cool to see because they bring out tons of Disney characters that are rarely, if ever, seen in the park).

Our plans all rest on whether my daughter gets cast in a show. Part of me is dying to get to DL for all the fun Christmas stuff, but part of me hopes she gets the role. Hopefully we'll know soon, the suspense is killing me!

This past July they also did the 15 minute ceremony with the characters, and had everybody sing happy birthday. The parks were not anymore crowded than usual.
