I'm really looking forward to staying at Portofino and experiencing FOTL. :bounce: However, IOA and USF has some really great pre-shows and ride queues. I love all the wonderful detail in the queue at Spider-man, for instance, and I have never rode Dueling Dragons or Dr. Doom.

My question is are the any rides that anyone here would recommend visiting first thing in the morning because FOTL would bypasses their interesting pre-shows or ride queues areas.

Thanks for any suggestions! :D

Here's what I would recommend for you...

still plan on arriving to the parks early. It is just more pleasant. Less heat and less crowds just makes for better touring if you ask me.

Also, you will be able to walk on Dueling Dragons and see all the neat que area and still not have to wait. We went through yesterday morning (got to DD about 10am and walked right on) even though we had FOTL access, we choose to go through the regular line (posted 0 wait time which was accurate for any but the front row) my boys like to walk through that castle. I only had to wait 3 turns for the front seat of Ice Dragon.

It would be wise to arrive at park opening if you want to do Pteranadon Flyers (which you can't use FOTL)
You can also enjoy Seussland so nicely in the morning....things like "if I ran the zoo" or the Jurassic Park play area are good to experience in the morning before the crowds. Also, One Fish Two Fish doesn't allow for FOTL, but you can walk right on in the morning (like before 10am)

Personally, I don't care for the que of Dr. Doom....I would just use FOTL access and enjoy the ride there.

Good luck!

1 fish 2 fish had FOTL in April. We used it several times.

One fish Two fish had FOTL in May, also.

You still do the queue with Spiderman and Dueling Dragons on FOTL, you miss it on the Hulk, though. We got to see it on Memorial Day because we got there at 8am, it's pretty cool but I don't really care too much about pre-shows and queues, I just want to get on the RIDE!! :bounce:

:) Thank you to everyone who replied.:)

I guess I'm just some kind of ride queue junkie! ;)

Seriously, one of the things that really knocks me out about these parks is when I discover some little design detail where I don't expect it. However, I agree that it's not worth waiting in line if you don't have to!

Thanks again. :D
