In some regard, I think LSL uses ground that is even more coveted. Many don’t realize FW goes back to 1971. 50+ years makes it part of iconic WDW history.I disagree on RIV, it was built on land that belonged to another resort previously, but it has nothing to do to the previous occupier. Its structure, amenities, theme are completely new. I think RIV gives us a good indication on how LSL will end up being: a deluxe resort with great amenities but lackluster theming. The lazy river will probably convince a lot of people to buy there, but theme wise it will not hold a candle to its neighbor WL. There is a small chance that, being mixed use, they'd push a bit more on the theme front, but I highly doubt it, PIT and RIV set a strong precedence.
When CBR to Riviera happened, it could be argued skylines at least gave CBR something it didn’t have. Skyliner gave Riviera a lot of traffic from value and hotel regulars. CBR benefitted in some ways.
If LSL lazy river is not available to FW, there may be even more unhappy campers. Will FW area benefit? More restaurants? Any dedicated transportation? But they also will see their area more heavily used.
