I currently have a Net10 prepaid simple phone but thinking about going Verizon prepaid with a smartphone as opposed to contract. This is what gets me:

Talk and text:
450 min - $64.99/mo access
900 min - $84.99/mo
Unlimited - $94.99/mo

and the refill minutes (once applied to account):
$15-29.99 - expires in 30 days
$30-74.99 - expires in 90
$75-99.99 - expires in 180
$100+ - 1 year!

Does this mean I have to pay $65/mo plus refill minutes?!

Has anyone here have the prepaid version? I'm willing to pay $30/mo for unlimited data but want to get this settled. I want an HTC Incredible btw. Is it better to have a contract since I can get 20% off/mo from my work discount.

We have Verizon pre-paid, We won't have it much longer SUPER high!!!

We have the 450 minutes and unlimited text as soon as this month is over we are getting something cheaper

I think the refill minutes are for people who don't do some sort of pre-paid plan. I pay the minimum a month $15 because $10 of that goes to my texting and the other $5 gets applied to my talk minutes. If I do a $100 refill, I won't have to do another re-fill for an entire year to keep my account active, but every month $10 will come out. So, before the end of the year I would have to add more money, especially if I used my talk minutes.

As long as you pay what your plan cost each month, you don't need to worry about refill cards.

Unless you run out of minutes, they charge you to check your messages
