ATM's - Why are people so slow???

Where do you people bank? I rarely have to wait in line for an ATM, walk up or drive up!

I live in Worcester, MA, which is a big town, and very populated. There's ALWAYS people in front of me at an ATM. Most of the time, they're fine, but every now and then...... :badpc:

Wow, I'm in a big metro area too. Maybe we have more ATM's per capita!! Or I could be lucky, I only use ATM's about once a month anyway.

This is one of my biggest peeves!

Know what I can't stand?........

There are two cars in front of you, one leaves and the car in front of you
pulls up to the ATM and then decides to look for their ATM card or fill out the deposit slip or whatever! Like they couldn't do that while they were sitting there waiting?! -- Then after they complete their transaction, they sit there longer and write down what they did, ect...can't you pull up to do that?

I feel the same way about people in stores who wait until the cashier has rung their whole order up before they decide to get out their checkbook and write the check or search their pockets or purse for their money or credit card.

One time a women in front of me at the grocery store dumped out her entire purse on the counter looking for her debit card! Turns out it was in her coat pocket. Drives me absolutely crazy.

This one really gets me! The other day I was at a grocery store for a few items. I got in the fast line which was 10 items or less. The woman in front of me had 30 different items all divided into 10 items. She waited until the 1st order was rung up and then started filling out her check. Then the next 10 came up and she did the same exact thing out of the same checkbook. She waited until it was totalled, wrote Albertsons and the amount and signed it, entered it into her check register and then waited for the next transaction. When that was totalled she then dug around in her purse and wallet for the 2.56 she owed for the christmas candy she had bought. I was so annoyed I wanted to just scream.

As for the ATM I don't go to the Atm anymore I just pop into the grocery store and go to the self checker and get cash that way since it's closer to my house and I always need something at the store.

At my last job, my bank had a branch right in teh building, and like you, I could take Fast Cash in under 20 seconds.
Anne

I can beat that....I too have my bank and ATM in my building, so we probably have some super speed connection - I can get fast cash and no receipt ( I bank on-line and don't need ANOTHER piece of paper in my life) in 8-10 seconds.
