Has anyone heard anything new about Atlantis? I would love to go there soon and am curious what kind of room and point value it wil be. It'll probably be outrageous, but doesn't hurt to check.

I called MS to try to get some idea of the points and was told they will not have any information until the fall.

wild guess 50 - 200 points per night - depending upon when you go and the room size.

some of the GF is now in this point range.

Put me down for 40 to 60 points. At certain times you can get a room there for as little as $210.

We visited Atlantis while on the Disney Cruise Line. It's an awesome place but we didn't think it was great for a family vacation. It's got to be a load of points !

I am going to say a lot of points. I went there before being a dvc member with some friends, and it is expensive. I am going with the higher end on this on!!

Isn't there an Interval Exchange-the Harborside? I would think since there is also this option the points would be just a bit higher than they would for that-but I doubt it !! I'm thinking higher end as well.

PhilUK-We didn't make it off the ship that day, so why did you think Atlantis was not a good family vacation place? I thought they had alot of water activities. Although I have heard everything is expensive, such as the things a family might need like--food.

I remember taking a tour at Atlantis. It is a wonderful resort. I also remember the tour guide talking about that bridge/wing that connects the two towers. He said it was a suite with 13 rooms. The price to stay there was $25,000 per night. He did mention the good thing was that it was tax exempt for the room since is is in the bahamas.

That is right, it is not a typo - $25,000 per night. Or enough to purchase about 260 points and stay at WDW for 7-10 days in a 2 bedroom at OKW with 13 rooms. Just look below.

1. Kitchen
2. Living Room
3. Master Bedroom
4. 2nd Bedroom
5. Split Master Bath
6. Split Master Bath
7. Master Bath Closet
8. Laundry Room
9. 2nd Bedroom Bathroom
10. 2nd Bedroom Closet
11. Balcony - Master
12. Balcony - 2nd Bedroom
and..........
13. Front Closet

Okay - stretching a little - but you get the point.

It was removed back last winter due to lack of availability. A stupid move in my book as it's likely to become more available over the next couple of years.
