Called Atlantis to book room during excursion day (19 June Cruise). Since we have a family of 5, they require two rooms at $265 each. If we book one room for 4 and purchase one excursion, can all five use facilities? My youngest won't use the slides - so we can all go thru the acquarium, etc but will they prevent the excursion person from entering pool area or are you just restricted from using slides??

Did you try Comfort Suites? If you stay there you have full privleges of everything at Atlantis. You'll still have to get 2 rooms due to Max of 4 in a room unless one is an infant. Give them a call!

First question....how old is your son that he wouldn't be taking part in the slides or pools? If he is young enough you are able to take him along (from what I've heard)...There are also some folks on the boards that swear you get 5 wristbands for booking an actual room at Atlantis.

To answer you question...No the person who booked the DCL excrusion would not be allowed to acess all of the areas of the hotel like a hotel guest would....but back to that...comes my question on how old is the youngest member of the party...because young ones (toddlers and under....i think) don't need them.

Second question....what are you wanting to do at Atlantis for the day? Slides, pool, beach, the dig??? The beach day excrusion..from what I understand you get to use the private beach, go through the dig...and get lunch.

Hi we have done both. If you go with DCL you do not get the use of all the facilities and you are paying per person. It is a short cab ride (van) for around $10 for the entire family if I remember correctly We too have a family of five. When you get your wrist bands they simply have you flash them your card. they do not check numbers. So do not book the extra person on DCL. You aren't going to be sleeping in the room.
We also did the Comfort Suites thing once. Works out just fine. It is immediately across the street. Would not want to sleep there. Wasn't great but you just show your card and they give your family wristbands which allow total access. DCL (although I love most of their excursions) is getting you on the per person charge.
