Hi there. We just booked our summer family vacation from July 12-16th. We are staying at the Comfort Suites Hotel which gives us full access to the Atlantis facitilites.

This will be our first time so looking for any first time tips. Specifically...

1) Meal suggestions..especially how to save $$
2) How does the use of the Atlantis work..a wristband..do you need one each day or do you get one for the week? What about towels?
3) Is there a good central spot to camp out for the Atlantis or will we need to move about?
4) Any height restrictions for the slides? My boys are 10 & 15
5) Anyone know where I can get information on booking either parasailing or jet skiing?
6) Any experiences with the Dolphin Encounter at Dolphin Cay?
7) Overall feedback on the Comfort Suites if you stayed there?

Anything else?? Thanks!!!!!

I have never been so not a lot of help, but my DD's BF went with his family 2 years ago ( stayed at the Atlantis resort)and they did the Dolphin encounter...LOVED IT! They said the biggest "downer" was the constant expectation of tipping for even the slightest thing, like asking a question! I kid you not. They said they found themselves dodging employees as it was getting ridiculous and they are generous tippers, not cheap at all. Maybe since you will be at the Comfort Suites you will be able to dodge that. Other than that, they said they had a great time, just very expensive to eat..get a coke etc.Oh, and bring flip flops or water shoes etc. they said you walk around a lot on the grounds from pool to pool? Or someting like that, that the walkways are very hot.

Just expect lots and lots of walking. The Atlantis is huge! Like the previous poster said, bring water shoes!!!

I know ths is not cruise related but try the cruise board for some more Atlantis info.
Lots of the cruise folks book a room at Comfort Inn so they can use Atlantis facilities for the day when they are in the Bahamas. I got lots of info from there when I took my Disney and RCCL cruises and had a blast in Atlantis.
