Atlantis for the day??

We're going on the 11/3 Wonder and I'm starting to think about going to Atlantis for the day. I don't think I'd take the excursion since we're traveling with young children 18 months and 4 1/2, but were thinking about visiting. I know there is an option directly from Atlantisfor $25 which gives you access to the Dig and most of the Atlantis except for pools and beach. Do they charge for small children, or only adults? Our other option is getting a room at Comfort Suites for the day and then being able to use all the facilities at Atlantis, including the pools, which for my crew will be GREAT!! We're really thinking this might be a good option. My question is, where do you find the best rates at Comfort Suites and what is the usual rate? ? Any opinions on what you think would be the best options will be appreciated!!!

I believe the lowest rate I have seen for that Comfort Suites is around $166, and that is with a AAA discount. I am not sure if i am remembering if that includes the taxes or not. Figure $4 per person for a taxi one way, and I believe a dollar for the toll each way.

If you have a room a Comfort Suites, you will get guest privileges for everything, including the pools at Atlantis.

We are sailing on the 10/27/02 Wonder with our 17 month old and 4 1/2 year old too. I was researching Nassau excursions when I was across your thread. What did you decide to do?

We actually decided to stay on the boat and go to the Atlantis for a week in Feb!!! We had a 7 day planned for May, but my sister is getting married the weekend we were going to cruise. We really wanted to go to the Atlantis, so we're really going now!!! After really thinking about it, my crew will have had it by 1 - 2 o'clock and we'll either be heading back to a room, or to the ship. Not worth the $200 in my opinion. I had also decided if we were going to do it was rent a room directly at Atlantis. The difference was only $30, and to have a room that close, it was worth it to me. We'll be staying on board the whole trip, and just enjoying the ship since we're not getting back in May!!! Have a good trip!!
