Atlantic Dance Hall?

Some friends are going in October and I suggested Atlantic Dance Hall if they wanted to "ballroom" dance. but looking at Steve's site it looks like it is all DJ stuff now. Are there any ballroom dance locations anywhere? Pleasure Island or Boardwalk? What about in the MK?

There is no ballroom dancing available in WDW that I know of. We were at Atlantic Dance in 1996 when it first opened and it was all ballroom dancing. They even had a "big band" type orchestra and dance instructors dancing out on the floor who would even teach some dance steps to the guests. We loved it. It was a few years after that that they changed it to a DJ with a more contemporary mix of music. Now we don't even bother with it. It feels just like any other club. If we want that, we can find much more variety at Pleasure Island. You would think that with the popularity of "Dancing with the Stars" in the past year that they would think about adding a club that offered ballroom dancing or maybe even change Atlantic Dance back to the way it was when it first opened.

Thanks Annette. So sad. I love dropping by the hub in Disneyland and watching all the dancers there on the weekends. Strange that WDW is so much bigger but cannot "groom" a loyal group who would love to ballroom dance. We will be cruising on the Magic for the fourth time in October. It looks like the ballroom lessons they gave on the ship are gone, too.
