atlantic dance hall lights?

when a couple rents the ADH for a reception during the day, is it possible to get the lights to strobe and videos on the video screen too? I mean the way they do when the club is operating at night? if so, there has to be a fee. any clue as to what it might be? we were planning to pay a dj anyway, so how much more could it be?

i know the effect would be a little diffused, but we have outgrown the LSS by 20 people. we need something to keep the tweens and younger teens enthralled!

I don't know the answer, but we are planning on using ADH too and would love to know the answer as well.

I know that the lightening is included with the ADH, but not sure about the video stream.

okay, i have half of an answer.

yes the video screen can be play videos during the rental period just like when the club is open. there is a fee for doing so. i do not know what that fee is yet. pam is checking.

also, the light package for a dj are the regular club lights.

what surprised me is that the venue rental fee of $500 includes the couples name on the marque. lots of beos have a separate marque fee.

There was no venue rental fee at Atlantic Dance Hall until fairly recently. It sounds like they rolled the old marquee fee into it when they created the venue-rental fee.

I wasn't going to have the marquee because it seemed kind of steep...I'm happy to know the new venue fee is getting me something!!

Yeah - we had our receiption there in 2008 and do not remember having to pay a venue fee - but we did pay $200.00 to have our names put up on the marque. This was DEFINATELY worth it. I think when everyone gave me copies of their pictures - everyone had taken this picture. It is a wonderful way of starting your reception pictures in what ever type of photo album you make, and there is something so special just seeing your names up there.

thank you for posting this picture. future family is convinced the lights would be wasted. i knew the edges and the upper level would be fairly bright in the day, but that dance floor is dark. we go in person in march, so maybe this will hold them back until then!

now if i could just get an estimate of the price for the video screen i will be happy! for now.

Here are a few more that show the lighting. It was light in there as our reception was from 10:00 to 3:00 but I think the lighting showed up.

What are you planning on showing on the screen? Not sure how much it would keep the kids busy. I would not have anything with sound as it would mix with your music. Are you thinking of music video's?

i was thinking music videos to go with the music, like a night club. ADH has at times been a lot of fun as a club.



in this incarnation of planning, there are a lot more kids in the 11 to 18 year ranges than before. i think having the atmosphere of lights and video would be a newer experience for most of them.
i also think their parents will like the set-up. and anyone who wants it a bit quieter can go upstairs if they like.

i want it to be a party.

My cousin's DF had the same thought. The estimated cost is $750 additional to DJ. of course subject to change.
