Atlanta Traffic

Okay, I know to avoid Atlanta during rush hours on our drive to and from WDW. But how is traffic on Saturday and Sunday mornings?

If there's not any events going on downtown then it should be smooth sailing on the weekends. I went through downtown/midtown, etc last Sunday around 11am and it was fine until we hit downtown but most of the traffic was exiting there for the Falcon's game and we were ok, no slow down. You should be fine in the a.m. then (of course today would be a problem...)

In the past when driving South on I-75 on Sunday mornings we have never had any problems when going through Atlanta.

We've never tapped the brakes driving through on a weekend morning. Most are flying past us at least 20-30 over the speed limit.
