Atlanta to HH

We will be visiting our son in the Atlanta (just south) area next weekend and wonder if anyone knows the best way ( and approx. time) to get to HH. We will be spending some time at the DVC resort there. Thanks.

and go north from there to exit 8 in South Carolina (HWY 278). The fastest way on the interestate...I drive it all the time

We recently checked a map and thought the same, but wanted to check with the experts. Yahoo directions took us another way and stated it would take over 6 hours to get there! How long taking this route would it take? Thanks!

The drive to HH from Atlanta should be about 4 1/2 hours.

I have driven every pig path in Georgia and believe me, regardless of what yahoo says, the only fast, reliable way to get from Atlanta to Hilton Head is sticking to I-16 over to I-95. Anything else is at least 60-90 minutes longer and full of small town aggrevation.
