Is there a way to tell which concourse our flight will arrive on ahead of time? Or even a way to have a good guess?

Currently we have a 3 hour layover from a flight that starts in Michigan. It started as a 1 hour layover, and has kept extending. But now there are flights that have only a 70 minute connection in Atlanta. I'm debating on changing, or sticking to the current layover. I am a bit slower walking currently, due to a messed up knee. Any advice?

You can use Flight Aware and search for your flight (ie: Delta 1234). Or I think you can search for the route (MCO to ATL). You should be able to look at multiple days. Each day should tell you what gate they started/ended at. Then look at commonalities... days of the week, time, etc. That will give you a decent idea, but not a guarantee.

If you were comfortable with a 1 hour layover to start with, why does the 70 minute bother you now?

70 minutes in ATL is plenty of time. Even going from the furthest gate. If you have difficulty waking for longer distances, request a wheel chair assist. They will meet you at the arrival gate and deliver you to the departure gate quickly.

70 minutes is plenty of time in ATL. It's a big airport, but efficiently laid out. You can go from the furthest concourse to baggage claim in 10 minutes on the train.

What airline are you flying? Most of the airlines are segregated in Gates with Delta being a little more spread out than others.

I have used a website called Flight Aware that lets you put in the flight number and then you can check prior days to see gates for departure and arrival.

There is really no way to guarantee yourself what concourse you will arrive at but 70 minutes is more than enough time. Even the gate you are assigned while you are airborne can change at the very last minute. Delta operates out of every single concourse at ATL. They exclusively have all of A & B and they have parts of T, C, D, E, & the international concourse. The only thing I will add is that lots of 717's and CRJ900's get sent to C and lots of CRJ200's get sent to D.

Because if your knee injury, you can ask for gate assistance. If it's far they will send a golfcart.
