Back from the Atlanta "Will You Survive" pin meet. First, let me thank Michael and Corey for their hard work, and to everyone that helped them out. YEA ! You guys are great.

We had a blast (or at least I did). I got there a little early, started trading sometime around 11:30. I didn't leave until 5:30 or so. I got to meet quite a few new folks, including our grand queen Leslie of the Boas. :) Donna, Winnie (with Fred), June, Patrick, Robin, Mel, Katharine, Janet, Michael, Michelle, Dana (with kids!), and everyone else (sorry if I didn't name you, my brain is fried)..

I forgot my camera, but someone was there taking pictures, so hopefully they'll post sometime soon. Lots of trading, many jokes, and lots of pizza. Glad you guys could make it in from out of town. Too cool!

Ashley

Hey Y'all,

First let me also say BIG kudos to Michael and Corey for the excellent job they did! I love my Atlanta pin and the new lanyard cards!! It was a great set-up with some nice door prizes. I was so glad to see all the folks that showed up!!

Secondly...I have met the Queen! My Boa and I felt honored. :D

Third-What a great group of folks. So many people helped me get some pins that meant so much to me. I finally got my Hokkaido Japan pin with Mickey! I also got a wonderful Fox and the Hound pin, Goofy manhole pin, Some Dumbo pins....etc....basically lots of pins that will be treasured. I owe a BIG thanks to a lot of folks(see above post for all their names-add Anne and Gary to it), and I wont forget their kindness!

Fourth-So whens the next one? ;)

:D This was my wife and I's (anne930 & gary403) first pin meet. The event & people are great. Michael and Corey put in a lot of hard work planning and organizing this event and are hugely succeesful in its outcome. We felt like a red head stepchild when we got there, but Donna took us under her wing and made us feel at home. The group consisted mainly of seasoned veterans and they all were quick in adopting us and teaching us their vast knowlege about their pin passion. An already much anticipated trip (9/13-9/23) to WDW in Sept. has escaladed tremendously looking forward to GPC II (9/21-9/23)and seeing our new friends we met @ the Atlanta Pin Meet.

I had a fantastic time! It was nice to finally put real faces to board names. Huge thanks to Michael and everyone involved in organizing this meet. There was a great turnout, great conversation and lots of GREAT trades made!

WOW! I had such a great time! What a great experience for a newbie like myself. I would like to thank everyone for being so helpful with all of the information about pins. Everyone went out of the way to make me feel at home as a trader.

You are wonderful people...that's what really makes trading fun! Thanks to all who put effort into the meet. Thanks to all who donated the cool stuff.

I know a lot of new names (having a hard time remembering whose name went with every screen name). But I had a blast and I can't wait to see you all in Sept!

I got a call from the meet and got to talk to Robin, Donna and the Queen herself, Leslie!

Michael and Corey!>>>
You two are just the "BOMB"!!! It was such a fabulous time! It was so worth the drive. We got home a couple hours ago. I just spoke with Michael and cannot thank him enough for his and Corey's hospitality.

It was so nice that "Queenie" made it, and I'm so glad she got her Minnie w/boa pin. I think Robin got one too from Patrick. He had some awesone pins. I got some wonderful old Walt Disney Production Pooh pins. (Thanks again Robin!) Everyone in the "Brigade" needs that pin. So if you have it, post so we know who has them for trade!! Please!

I got to see and trade with Ashley(altnewf) and her mom again. As well as many others who came from the Atlanta area. It was so nice to meet all of you.

By the way, Michael has a new pin to go with the other pin trading pin he designed. This one is even better. It has a silly "olbear's" paw and a honey pot on it. You GOTTA have it!!
"madstrawberry", e-mail Michael now, you'll want it. Too cute!

A good time was had by all. And some of us had some interesting things happen as well... a hem! Fred and I had an univited guest in our hotel room, and well..... let it suffice to say, the maid was much more embarrassed than we were. That's all I'll say about that!

ANYWAY!>>> Thanks again Michael and Corey. Let's do it again next year!!!!!

Blessings,
Winnie :Pinkbounc

PS: Michael, My butterfly ain't movin! I know honey, DON'T NAG!!!

I had the BEST time in Atlanta!!

Michael created a logo for the meet and made a pin, a T-shirt, a lanyard tag and a nametag....

It was so good to spend time with members of the Boa Brigade...Lady Donna, Lady Robin, Lady Dana, Lady Winnie, Sir Fred, Lady Michelle, honorary members June and Bob,and of course, the Royal Counsel and Sir Corey! And the Atlanta contingent of the Boa Brigade...Lady Mel, Lady Ashley and Lady Katherine..it was great to meet you in person!!

And...introducing the newest member of the Boa Brigade...PRINCESS BRITTANY!! She is Lady Dana's daughter and was so helpful at the meet!! Such a sweetie!!

So, we traded, chatted, ate pizza, traded some more, visited, traded, ate snacks and traded some more....for seven hours!!!

After the meet, all the out of towners went to PF Chang's for dinner which was also a blast!! I am still wondering why the Chinese eat with slippery chopsticks...just trying to make it more challenging??

Thank you Michael for all your hard work to make the first ANNUAL Atlanta August pin meet a success!! And also for your hospitality and chauffering back and forth to the airport! I hope to make it next year!!!

Hey guys!
What a great time we all had! It was well worth the 10 hour drive from FT. Lauderdale just to taste Corey's Spinach Artichoke dip and pork cutlets. (Yes folks, I was only there for the free food and Cosmopolitans) The meet was fun, everyone was super nice and trading was easy because we all wanted to make each other happy. I don't think I heard "I'm sorry-I don't see anything" even once. Special thanks to Janet for the Lilo & Stich Surfboard GWP pin trade!!! I traded more at this meet than I do at our own South Florida pin meet! The ride home seemed MUCH longer than on the way up. I was sorry to see the weekend end. Thanks to Michael & Corey for their hospitality and welcoming our unruly bunch into your home. You'll be finding pink, sticky stuff all over the place for weeks! Can't wait until the next one!
Michelle

OK, why was the queen not informed about the spinach and artichoke dip? :D What else didst I miss??

No matter, and I know I already said this but my 24 hours were the BEST!!!

46 days til September!!

:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We are suggesting that Sir Corey share
his recipe with the Ladies of the court!!!!!

Especially for my family to enjoy such a
treat (and they do not even eat spinach
or artichokes hehe)!!!

This was beyond good and we hope we
can get the recipe (holidays are coming :) )!!!

Lady Dana :)

P.S.: Princess Brittany is beyond words!!!!
Thank you again, she will wear her boa proudly!!!!

My stomach has finally stopped hurting from laughing. The trip up and back in the van was some of the most fun I have ever had traveling. And once we got there...................

Michael and Corey..... What you did was amazing. The dinner Friday night was out of this world. The food was delicious and the friends were great.

We woke Saturday morning to another great meal that Corey prepared for all the out of towners.

Then it was off to the meet. I can only describe it as a 100% success! Michael had wonderful gifts and giveaways. You out did yourself with the Survivor pin and tee shirt! The Atlanta group of traders were wonderful. Jimmy, made my last trade of the day a really great one! Thanks buddy! And a special THANK YOU to our new board members and friends, Anne and Gary, for trading me my holy grail. You know you made my day! Welcome to the boards, looking forward to seeing you at the Sept. event.

After the event the out of towners headed for PF Changs for dinner. Michael and Corey, again, excellent choice, good food, good friends.

As I mentioned above, the ride home Sunday was another laugh fest.

I had a blast! Will I do it again, next year..........

Are you crazy????????

I wouldn't miss it for the world!!!

Thanks again guys, you're the best!

Thanks & Kudos to Michael and Corey, for surpassing all our expectations:bounce: :bounce: I don't remember when I have laughted so hard, and for so long...I think right now I am in "laugh withdrawl"

I want to echo Michelle's words, and thank Michael & Corey for putting up w/ this rowdy bunch, and to Corey for the wonderful meals..and that delicious dip (even though it was so EASY:p ) and to both of you for all the "stuff" the t-shirts, pins, give a ways , and for all their hard work.

What a wonderful way to meet some new pin traders, some that have been trading, and collecting for awhile, and some, who , for them, this was their firs "pin experience"... we came away w/ a lot of new friends, and w/ a lot of new faces to be looking for at the Sept. Event..

Special welcome to the new members of the Boa Brigade, so sworn in by the Queen herself..and to Princess Brittany, our newest sweet Princess...who I want to give a special hug, and big thank you for being my right arm all day, and to "Prince Justin" for all his wonderful help..you guys were just great..

To all our car pool buddies..Thanks to Bob & June for driving, ( special thanks to our radar dector June, gives new meaning to "Back Seat Driver") and to all of you for all the laughter, even if I felt that some of it was directed at me..Why I couldn't imagine..I have my keys right here..

Soooooo....Michael & Corey...when is the next one..????? or does it depend on how long it takes you to put the house back in order...I for am will be there w/ bells on:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc Would I miss it... to quote Lady Robin ARE YOU CRAZY!!!!!!!

Thanks so much to Michael & Corey for putting on a GREAT meet. Jimmy and I made our first trading meet and it was wonderful. Too bad we couldn't make it until late in the day, but that was only one of MANY lessons learned (like don't trade away all your pins for state pins right before a meet :p ) ... I can't wait to get down to ORL on Labor Day and hit the POLY to look up folks.

My son (Jimmy) couldn't talk about anything else ALL weekend.. :) He had an absolute BLAST. Thanks to all who went out of their way to make sure he was having a great time :).

Thanks again!

Doug

Looks like a wonderful time was had by all!!!! :) Sure wish I could have been there. :( But, I will see most of you in less than 7 weeks!!!:bounce:
