I know it is early to worry about this, but I am hoping someone might be able to help. We are going with family next March and they would like to go to a spring training game.

1. Does anyone know when the schedule will be released? From what I've read, tickets won't be available until early Jan, but will the schedule be available earlier for planning?

2. How much are tickets?

3. Are the games typically on certain days? Tuesday would be ideal. About what time do afternoon or evening games typically start? How long are games?

4. We are not planning on having a car. We will be staying at OKW. How do you get to the game? Do they have buses from the resorts? If so, how often do they run?

Now that I've got airfare and resort settled, I'm starting on our touring/activities plan and this is a big unknown area for me.

Thanks

I seem to remember buying the tickets through ticketmaster way back in 2001. We did a Braves vs Tigers game. We were staying offsite that trip. We had a blast. It was neat to see them work out for a few hours before the game and we had dinner at the sports restaurant there.....I think it was ESPN Zone or something like that. We had a great afternoon. The weather went from a nice upper 70's day to a upper 40's night in a hurry though. We both were in shorts. My honey of course used this as an excuse to purchase more clothes with Braves logos. lol

I would do it again. I hope you have a blast. Seeing the Braves at spring training was one of my lifetime dreams come true. Maggie

I went to see games this spring. I bought tickets this year through Tickemaster online.

Schedules are released early in the year. After the main season schedule usually. I think I bought February, right when they went on sale. I used mlb sites for schedules and the Disney site to find out about when ticket sales began.

I don't remember prices, but they aren't bad at all (in major league standards). One game I was three rows behind the backstop and it was about $20 per seat.

Unlike the regular season, there's no real formula to what days (or nights) teams play on. There aren't series or homestands, just individual games. They take one day off once games begin, not including rainouts. I don't think they will go more than two days without at least one game at the park... Whether A or B squad.

To get to the park via Disney transportation, you have to take a bus from MGM. It's pretty easy, but that's the only place with a bus departing to WWoS.

Just a word of note, as a baseball fan Cracker Jack wasn't all that. I was very let down with things here, compared to other spring training facilities I've been to.

My BIL is a huge Braves fan so I purchased tickets for him, my dad, brother and nephews for our March 2005 trip. I got them through the Braves website in January. They went to a Sunday game (we did a girls day of shopping while they were gone) and left the house around 11 (they wanted to get their early to try meeting the players, but they weren't early enough) and they got home around 4 or so. They had a blast but it was very hot, not much shade, so be sure to bring hats and sun screen!!

Thank you for the information. Very helpful! I'll pass it on to my neice and her husband. My family is not into baseball, so we will probably do a water park or DisneyQuest while they do the game.
