A group of us are flyin into Atlanta airport. None of us have ever been there and need some information about it.

We will be flying into concourse C from Little Rock. We must then change to concourse A to continue onto MCO. From the airport's web site, it appears that a tram/train runs underneath the concourses in a loop. Am I correct in this assumption? About how long will it take to get from Conxourse C to A doing this? Is there a different/better way of doing this then the tram/train? If the flight lands on or near time, we will have about 1h-20m to make this change. Can it be done without out running?

You should have plenty of time to change concourses. The connection to the tram station is in the middle of each terminal. Look for the signs that list the other concourses and head that way to the escalator/elevator bank. You'll go down the escalator to the tram station. Once you board, it will stop at B before going on to A. Then you'll reverse the steps, going back up the escalator and into the C concourse.

(The concourses are all connected underground by walkways and moving sidewalks, to, so it's possible to walk to the A concourse...sometimes if it's very crowded and I'm only going 1 concourse over, I'll just walk. Otherwise, the tram is faster.)

BTW, the C concourse is the only one without a Starbucks (being a dedicated chai latte drinker, I know these things ;)). A has a lot more food options, so if you need to grab a snack, get it there before going to C. (A also has a Chick-Fil-A, which is one of the few highlights of flying through Atlanta since I can't get that at home in NY!)

The tram comes very often. I would visit the ATL website to get familiar with the airport. You will have plenty of time to get to your new gate. I would go to the new gate and make sure everything is on time and they haven't moved gates and then you could get something to eat or drink.
