:confused3

It made me sick so I couldn't stick to it. Maybe try the WISH boards. Tons of folks over there will have an answer.

You might have to count calories and carbs. I always had to cut back to 1000 calories a day to lose even with cutting the carbs.

A good friend of mine used to work as an RN at Dr. Atkins' office in NYC. When I first tried the diet she warned me to try really hard not the gain the weight back after the initial loss. She said that it was especially hard for the female patients to lose on Atkins after the 2nd or 3rd try and she had many clients who would not lose more than 5 pounds the 2nd time around.

Cutting calories and increasing exercise intensity or frequency may help. Good luck!

did she say why this happened>>

Actually, no. It was one of the things that they were doing a study on when she left to go back to school for her NP. It was a five year study, and I've not read anything about it. She said that one of the hypotheses was that it could be hormonally linked, since statistically their female clients lost less on the diet than the male ones even on the first try. I wish she had stayed on to finish the study!
