I am an oddball... at disney I still used one this past year for my 6 and just turned 9 year old. I take the girls alone and having them confined is HUGE for me. I will be getting one again this year for my then 7 year old. Unfortunately my oldest daughter will be too big. Oh where did the time go...... ok, off subject, haha... The strollers at disney are just so easy to push and keeping the sun off of them is as important as keeping their legs fresh. Even though they are hugely expensive, to me, they are priceless. My vacations would have been so different had I not had them.
Not odd at all. I assume we are talking about using it at Disney so I will weigh in and say my just turned 8 yr old used it about half the time last month. If she wants it again in June, she will have it! Its so good for me to not have to worry about something catching her eye and her wandering off or rude people knocking her down. And if she wants to walk, then she does. I had rather have it though, than listen to whining and complaining about her feet hurt, she's hot, etc.
To us it is most definitely NOT worth the hassle of trying to get it on the bus, trying to find it after it has been hidden by a CM or trying to push around very heavy kids at the end of the day. They are much younger than me, and therefore, have a thousand times my energy. They should be pushing me around.
My not-so-original idea is to take a break when the kids get tired.
