Just a quick HI
from POR. We're in the Alligator Bayou building--took me a day to figure my way around, but I think I've got it now. Resort seems to be full, but everyone (so far) has been happy and polite (except for an unusual # of toddler meltdowns I seem to have witnessed). Bus service is slow, though--we were spoiled last year by staying at a monorail resort--I think that's the way we'll go again in the future.
Started our trip with 2 days in Clearwater Beach--at the Hilton--beautiful. Also packed, but didn't feel crowded. Highly recommend that area/resort for a beach fix added on to Disney.
Arrived at POR yesterday--after checking in, headed for MK. Pirates is amazing--waits, too! (40 minutes!) Several delightful Jacks added to feast my eyes on. Also love the Davy Jones and Barbossa additions. Lots of colorful tour groups, but no problems. MGM today--crowds again manageable. Enjoyed our lunch at Sci-Fi and the "Lights, Motors, Action!" show.
For all of you coming here soon--weather-wise, this has been a nice trip so far! In fact, I'd say it's cooler here now than it was during our trip June 2005. (Of course, I just came from a heatwave in the Midwest, so maybe I was acclimated.) Rained yesterday for about a half hour--no biggie.
One other thing to add--those of you who come to WDW year after year--I get it now. We were just here last June, and I'm nowhere as commando as I used to be when we only visited every 3 or 4 years. We're really relaxing this time around--enjoying ourselves. Every year is the way to do Disney! (If only that were possible financially!)

It IS fun to be able to send live reports. We have our laptop and bought a day's worth of internet here at POR. I do love this resort--the grounds are beautiful, and even though Old Man Island is a fun pool, the kids prefer the quiet pool near our room! (Go figure!)
