Been open all week since I got here Sunday, rode 4 times, woohoo! BWV is great as ever, and for the 1st time I am close to the elevators, yeeha! Met Greenban and deedeedis yesterday, was fun. At disney quest now, full trip report when I get home.

Thanks for the update for those of us living vicariously through posts like yours, wishing we were there! And you met Greenban as well? That must have been interesting!

..Met Greenban...
He must have earned some unsupervised time away from the institution. :teeth:

Just got back from WDW last night. Rode Soarin' 5 times--I definitely recommend using a Fast Pass if you don't get there early, as you can imagine the line was huge. Waits were as long as 90 minutes for standby midday.

And yep Greenban/Tony was as much fun in person as he is on the boards. His wife is a real honey, I think I talked to her at least as much if not more than Mr. Greenban himself. Deedeedis met with us too, it was fun. A couple of other DIS-er's said they'd meet with us, but either they couldn't find us (hard to miss me with the HUGE lime green towel I bought) or they weren't able to make it. Greenban told me he already had written something like 18 pages of a trip report! I can't wait to read it.

Good Morning,

Just returned from 6 days at wdw. GREAT TIME  Meet Idratherbeinwdw and greenban on Wed. Wish you could have stayed longer Mar.

SOARING was terrific we were able to ride 3 times, but Mar right if you are not there early get a fastpast, saw the wait time up to 105 minutes one day. Also viewed "Lights, Autos, Actions"???(i know thats not the correct name) at MGM on Sunday, really enjoyed that.

They are moving right along with "Mt Ever..."at Animal Kingdom tracks seem to be all done and now they are filling in the mountain, can't wait for that to open.

Weather was good, rain Tuesday nite but not too much humidity all week.

Parks were crowded, at least in my opinion they were we have never been when there were soooo many schools at the park, seems like a lot of band and choir activies last week. We won't visit in April again, going back to the month of may.

It was great meeting Idratherbeinwdw and Greenban in person.

I meant to make it to the pool on Wednesday afternoon, but one of my grandaughters got sick on Tuesday and was still sick on Wednesday. Had flu-like symptoms. Missed two days at the parks, so we didn't get to Epcot to do Soaring. Had to choose either Epcot or Magic Kingdom and since granddaughers are 8 yo and 9 yo, we HAD to do MK.

We had planned to go to the pool to meet everyone and then go to the Member meeting at SSR, but wasn't able to do either.

I did come back about 45 mins later after seeing the Off Kilter (OK) show (the shows are only 20-25 mins long and it's a 5 minute walk from BWV) and spent more time with greenband and mrs greenban. I had hoped you were still there, sorry we couldn't talk more.

I do apologize for running off after an hour or so of talking to catch OK, but as you know they are one of my favorite "attractions" at WDW and the bagpiper was out for some reason the first day of their schedule, Monday. The band is great no matter what but The bagpiper really makes the sound unique, and he is also the leader of the band. Tuesday, when the piper returned, almost all the shows were rained out, they only played twice. And then the band wasn't playing on Thurs. Since I had already missed the 230 show to meet you and greenban, and my kids and I had PS that would make me miss the 530 and 630 shows I just HAD to see the 330 show. (and also caught the last show of the day, 730). Hope you understand, I am an off kilter FREAK and seeing them is a huge part of my enjoyment at WDW. Sorry you had to leave before I got back. :(

Anyhooooo it was great meeting you in person, hope we stay in touch!

Arrrgh sick at WDW, what a bummer!! Sorry we missed you but I am glad to hear you didn't show up and not find us. I would have felt really bad if anyone tried to et there but had a hard time locating us, as the pool was pretty packed.

Sorry about the illness, hope the trip was still memorable for you and your family.

Hi Mar,

Sorry we missed you. We hit the pools on Tuesday after leaving MGM real early and ditching our friends! We did mange to go to the pool on Wednesday but not until much later, after 3pm? We didn't get out of Chef Mickey's until after 11am.

After the kids were settled I took a stroll over but didn't seen any LIME green and didn't feel like flipping through people's stuff to look for the lime! LOL! DH spent a few hours in the pool with the girls. DD4 actually fell asleep in the pool hanging on to his shoulders! She slept on the lounge chair for at least 1 hour before DH took her up. Poor DH managed to get a mild sun burn that day that he's been complaining about all week.

Oh yes, we love Soarin' - did it 3 times all standby - we got lucky and catch them when the lines were 20 - 30 minutes.

Well, off to bed, it's a park day tomorrow! I think we are going to AK. We're here at the Marriott until Friday when we have to drive home. Great thing here is FREE high speed internet connection.

awww sorry you couldn't find us :(. I tired to keep my lime green beach towel and the lime green mickey heads visible for latecomers, but I can see how it would be hard to spot with so many other people there. Sorry about your hubby's sunburn, hope he is feeling better. And very nice about free high speed internet at marriot--WDW should be free too, it's annoying they charge 10 bucks to hook up at high speed. :(

I'm glad you enjoyed soarin as much as I did. I got there when the park opened twice to avoid lines and used fast pass three times, I have no patience for waiting, even for a great attraction like soarin.

One interesting thing--when I got my fast pass for soarin on Monday morning it said I was eligible for a fast pass at any other attraction immediately. So we got one for Test Track--and that fast pass said exactly the same thing! So we got one for mission space too! Then we shopped a little, and played around at imageworks to kill about an hour until it was time to for the first FP. Then we were able to use the other 2 FP's right away. It was quite a bonus. I've seen FP's that showed you you could get another one before it was time for the first one, but never immediately until this trip. Moral of the story--always check your FP to see when the next one is available, maybe you;ll get lucky!
