Just wanted to let everyone know that the magic people talk about being gone is still here if you are open to experiencing it. CM's have been nice (I bought something today from one who lives two towns over from where I live) and food and service has been great. Over all having a great time, even though it rained today.

Fear not!:goodvibes

Thank you for reporting that the Magic is alive and well. Sometimes I think some people would rather tell you about all the bad stuff that has happened instead of sharing how wonderful other things were...does the bad outweigh the good for them?:confused3

Hi! I agree with you. We were there last week & had a wonderful stay. The cast members were always friendly & polite. DD wore her anniversary button one day (DSIL didn't wear his). She got lots of calls of "happy anniversary" "how many years?" "where is your better half?" from Cast members. :goodvibes

Mickey's Halloween Party was fun. We got tons of great candy & it didn't seem very crowded.

Never ran across rude guests either. Anyone who accidently bumped or cut us off apoligized. No line cutters. :)

And probably the best weather we've ever had!! The magic is there!! :wizard:

:cloud9:Thank you! There was never a doubt in my mind!
In less than 48 hrs I'll be there soaking in all the magic. Disney hasn't let me down yet!

Thank you, thank you for a positive report for a change :yay: I really hate seeing all the threads that talk about the magic being gone  I have found nothing but magic on all our trips pixiedust: As a matter of fact, each trip has gotten better and more magical than the ones before :tinker: Can't wait until April :dance3:

there haven't been any outwardly rude people, but there are some people who seem insistent on finding something wrong with the way something is going. Granted today when we went on the Haunted Mansion there was chaos in the room where you enter the doom buggies and some were upset at the disorganization and how some who were "behind" where we were ended up getting on before us, but...we're all going to get to ride and the difference in time was 30 seconds or less... so getting upset over the little stuff, that's just not for me, I'm on vacation! I worked hard for it and I'm going to enjoy it!

I am so glad to hear it :thumbsup2 and jealous that I'm not there to experience it too. Don't have a trip planned, but am dreaming.:cloud9: pixiedust:

The magic is also what travelers make of it. If they expect to have a less than perfect vacation then they likely will.

We are a family that just goes to have fun. We never expect anything, nor do we go looking for it. Last weekend, we were at WDW. DS (6) receives an allowance each week from DGM that he saves for Vinylmations. He decided that he wanted to buy 2 from the Have a Laugh! series. He opened both, and both were ones he did not have. There was just one problem. One of them was Donald, and there was the turtle one out in the plastic case available for trading. DH and I tried to convince him to keep the two he got. He wanted the turtle. He was very polite the entire time, but he simply couldn't decide what to do. The CM pulled the turtle from the case and handed it to my son. He started to hand her Donald, but she told him to keep it. We were so shocked that we didn't know what to say. I was still shocked hours later. My son immediately ran over, hugged her, and thanked her. We filled out a card at Guest Services for her. I only wish I could have done more. Yes indeed. The magic is still there. Of course, I think it is there every time I go, and things like this never happen to us.

I love the magic of Disney. It is has been there the past three trips in two years and I know it will be there when we go in November. I love that Disney still brings out the kid in me and I can enjoy my daughter in a special bonding way.

That is a very cool story and I love your son's reaction!

We love Disney and I can't wait to go. Sometimes the magic is all in the attitude!

The magic if mostly what each guest makes of the trip, not what actually exists at Disney. WDW can only create so much "magic" for each person but it is up to each individual to have a good time, let the world slip away and be happy about their vacation. Our first family vacation i August I wasn't as happy because of something my husband did and it did affect my vacation. When we went back in April everything was perfect because I knew things were going to be slowed down, and I was going to expect less of myself and my family. It made a huge difference in my attitude. We had a great time! :) Now I would like a solo trip just for me!!!!!

We've done 43 trips so far and are headed back in 63 days, and can't wait. We always go with the intention of just relaxing and having a grand time. We have no schedules, planning sheets and 2 ADR's. That's it and we stay 9-12 nights so we can enjoy ourselves at a very leisurely pace. I've also seen these boards get more negative thru the years.....we've encountered very little of the negativity I've read about from some posters. I also hate the posts on how to and what to change in WDW.....why change anything? We go back because we like it the way it is, the personalized service and the mythical tone of the place.

I personally think people try to put too much into a trip, want all their moneys worth and then some, and plan way to much and come back with negative thoughts. I agree theirs alot to see and do, maybe more than one trip can fit, but we know we're coming back and skipping or missing some things is no big deal....I'm not entitled to everything, but enjoy my favorites and do overs more than anything, we relax and enjoy the resort, relax at the pool and have days we never set foot in a park, do we come home feeling like we should have done more or got gypted.......never...we're thankful we enjoyed a relaxing and safe trip to the place we cherish as a total vacation spot, one more time.

I totally agree with this sentiment. The Law of Expectation is what my Mom calls it!

Thank you for letting us know, we are at 6 months and a couple days until we are back "home"! and can't wait for our magic to happen! we have always had wonderful trips, you make them what you want....my feelings are if your negative at Disney you probably are a negative person in general.
If you go in with happy thoughts your trip will be wonderful....I know things happen that you can't control, but you can control your reactions, just my 2 cents!

Why wait? Here... pixiedust:
