Hubbys diverticulitus is flaring up. We have our anniversary dinner scheduled at the castle tonight. (He doesnt know). I also have our fastpasses scheduled at mk.

Two questions. If by some miracle he is feeling better does anyone know if they have some soups etc thst he can eat at the castle? option 2 is to give my dinner to my daughter and her cm friemd

Question 2 has to do with fastpasses. Should we be stuck in the hotel room can I give my dd and her friend our magic bands so they can use our fastpasses!?

Thanks in advance. This has truly been a week of highs and lows.

I don't know the answer to your questions, but I wanted to express my sympathy to you and your husband. I was sick for almost my entire week a couple visits ago. And I had ulcerative colitis for several years. I know exactly how he feels. I hope he starts feeling better soon!

The answer to question 2 is yes. Anyone can use someone else's magic bands for fast passes as long as there's active tickets connected. The magic band owner does not have to scan into the park for the fast passes to be active to be used.

We rarely eat on site so I have little knowledge about the restaurant side. But I don't see why you couldn't call and they could switch the names around. Still just two people eating with just different names. Or if they can't, the times we have eaten in the parks with a reservation, I've never been carded to verify it's me. Have just said "reservation for ___" and then they let me know when the tables ready. So if you can't or don't want to change the names then the other two could very likely just go to the adr and just give them the original name on the reservation

1. They do have a soup but I believe its generally some kind of seafood bisque which I would not think is that great of an idea if someone is having stomach troubles.

2. Yes anyone can use someone else's magic band in order to gain access to FP+.

1. They may have a broth based soup like minestrone. They also have an allergy friendly menu which may have something thats easy on his system.

as for option 2 with daughter just have her give your name when checking in. if ressie knows about anniv she might want to let server know what is happening with your husband

They won't switch the ADR another person, but as a PP said, just have your daughter give your name at the podium. Hope your hubby feels better!

So sorry he is sick! I would also recommend calling Disney Dining if your daughter doesn't want to go. I have had to cancel meals day of due to a similar situation, and the dining cm was kind enough to waive the cancellation fee. Just do it as soon as you know you aren't going to make it.

Thanks everyone for your quick answers. I switched my husbands name off the reservation to my daughter. Two very happy girls heading for dinner at the castle. Hubby started feeling better but quickly got tired so best we stay in tonight. I see that pop has chicken noodle on the dinner time menu so I think we are good. Girls didn't want to take our bands /fp in case we changed our minds. So I'm wishing them extra fairy dust as they head to mk. Again. You guys are great. Thank you

Sorry to hear your DH is sick at Disney. My DH's UC always seems to flare up right when we leave for a trip....it's like it knows!! Ugh... he was sick for most of our Thanksgiving week trip--sick up front, then like your DH, just really tired.

@DekrRini you say you HAD it....did yours finally go away? DH has probably had it 8 years now.

Sorry for everybody who gets sick on vacation. It stinks to spend all that money and then not get to enjoy it :(

I got very sick my second night this trip! I'm very sympathetic and hope he feels better soon! Sending lots of pixie dust your way!!!

I feel your husband's pain. I have diverticulitis, and it flaring up at WDW is one of my worst nightmares. Does he have any pain killers, OTC or prescription, or antispasmodics? I don't know about the soup, usually most WDW restaurants have some soup. Plus, I think others have answered that. Other people can use your bands. They will need their own bands to get into the parks due to the finger scan. Also, be sure to keep a band or card for yourselves to get back into your hotel room. Seek out all of the liquid sustenance, like dole whips, shakes, ice cream, smoothies, frozen drinks, soup. I hope he gets better soon. I know this may sound weird and may not help your husband. However, I have been doing a Ketogenic diet, like Paleo or Whole 30, for a while now. I have not had any bouts, except if I splurge too much for too long. I was really amazed at how much better it made my gut feel. Good luck. I hope he gets better soon:goodvibes

Oh no. Hope he feels better. My mom has diver. and has been hospitalized with pain on a few occasions.

Unfortunately, it didn't go away. It got so bad I had to have surgery. If you'd like more details or information, feel free to contact me privately. I'm happy to answer any questions you might have. :)

I know UC is different from diverticulitis. However, I have had diverticulitis for ~6 years and stomach issues, ie acid reflux, digestive issues, my whole life. In the last year, I have been eating a Paleo/Ketogenic diet and only had one episode when I went off the diet for a couple of months during the holidays and vacation. You might see if something like that would work for your DH. It's probably worth a try. My general stomach issues have also significantly decreased, almost gone, since eating this way. I hope he finds a solution. Good luck:goodvibes
