At WBC this week

We checked in Fri afternoon (4/18) and checking out 4/25. Not gonna go in great details today, but thought we would throw out a dew things....

Room was not ready when we tried to get in at 1230, but was ready at 3 instead of 4. They said they would call .... And they did!

We are in a 2bdrm deluxe, bldg 6, 3rd floor. There wasn't even really a chance to say, " I know you don't guarantee requests, but can we at least ask for...." Apparently they had already assigned our room and were just waiting for ut to be finished. View is ok.... We wanted a high floor, but didn't really care. We are looking at the pool.

The room is VERY nice! We obviously have a renovated room. Our kids were stunned just at seeing the outside as we pulled into property and the inside did not disappoint!

The people here hsve been very nice.

I like to let Disney drive me, BUT we do get "home" much quicker I believe.

Last thots.... ROPE DROP!! ROPE DROP!!!!!! We have always been rope drop people, but we hsve done so much on rope dropping this week already!!!
Did I mention ROPE DROP?!!

Today is our sleep in, chill, gonna hit a water park and then Downtown, then hang out by our pools here. Rest n relax. So, I'm off. Will give some more details bout the resort n our thots on Disney next week sometime.

We went to WBC about a month ago. Our first stay. Loved it. Enjoy your trip. Glad you like it.

If you get a chance could you post the shuttle schedule. we are there next week with no car, am thinking maybe taxis if shuttle is rubbish

I will get a peek at it and try to post. But, I do know this much.... It's $6 per day per person & most people say the schedule is severely limited. Most people would advise not relying on the shuttle here. But, I will do my best to get it posted, so you can make an informed decision that you feel is best for your family.

I Also would add (because I thinks it's pertinent to the debate of shuttle vs taxi vs rental) that Rope Drop is the way to go IF getting up early and accomplishing A LOT fits your vacationing style. For example, we rode 10 rides (including Everest 6 times), walked an exploration trail, saw "it's tough to be a bug" and are lunch at flame tree all by 1130 last fri. Another example at MK.... We had bfast ressies at crystal palace, do take that into consideration, but hit SM, HM, PP, my daughter met Anna & Elsa and Aurora ( by 810) and couple other lower tier rides all by 1030. 2 of us walked right into be our guest at 1040 n had the pick of olaces to sit. 4 more of us walked right into the place where you get a menu and only waited 5-7 mins to get to a kiosk to order and this was at 11. Now when we left at bout 1130.... Line outside the doors, across the bridge and wrapping.
Just a few thots on getting in early!!

post a pic of your view pls How long is it taking you door to door for the parks in the am? And are you returning at all for breaks, how is that going with parking when you go back? TIA

Daisydoo - I'm havin trouble posting a pic of schedule from my phone. But, schedule to MK is like 815am, 1040, 12 something. Coming back is very limited. Other parks... You could never make rope drop using the shuttle. I will continue to work on posting a pic of schedule. Maybe when in the car for 9 hrs Friday.

Ampc3 - we are 3rd floor lookin into pool area. But as we r so low.... We really don't see much. Tress mostly. Can sort of see pool and lounge chairs. But not a bad view.... Just not a great one.
DHS is closest - 5 mins (10 max) door of hotel to parking at park. It's only bout a mile down the road
Epcot was bout 10-15.
MK is maybe the worst because you have to park at transportation center then take monorail or ferry to MK. We allowed 20 mins to get parked at TTC then another 20 to the park. Always made it in less...20-30 total.
The day we went to AK we left from somewhere so I can't tell bout travel time there. But nothing has been bad and we have said many times.... "Remember when we rode the buses. This is way better. We are in our room before we would be on a bus."
We have come bsck for breaks twice. It's works fine for us. Time to travel back and forth has been no worse than buses n monorail. Today we were at DHS... Left bout 430 (still in park at 430) in room by 450. Left at 630 to go bsck, parked in same row just a littke further down by 640 and stayed for 10 fantasmic. Still In theatre at 1035, bsck in room by 1055! We thot was awesome timing.
Hope this helps for now. I will work on better shuttle schedule.

Caribbean Beach is next door to WBC, although no walking paths. That would be a VERY short taxi ride.

But honestly I'd probably just cab it to the park of the day. Everything is really pretty close.

Hollywood studios by far closest. We hit animal kingdom this morning (we think it's the furthest) and it was bout 15 mins..... Parking space to parking space. BUT, that was at 715am. Not a lotta traffic.... Park basically empty.
I tend to agree with a PP.... If takin taxi, then I'd just go to the park of the day. But, I am huge believer in putting out the info (as best as possible) and let people make the decision that best fits their style of livin!
