Our first trip since buying DVC! We own at SSR, but waitlisted for VWL, and got it!
I am MADLY in love with this resort! I am really considering selling off SSR and buying VWL. It is so BEAUTIFUL.
It is raining, thundering, lightning right now.
Parks are not that busy - even before it started to rain.
However, at the Magical Express Line, the hostess told us that they were expecting over 3000 guests TODAY. Wow!
I love it here, I can't believe how much I missed it! (And we were just here in April 2008!)
I will post wait times and such after we get our luggage and venture out again. We have dinner reservations at Yachtsman's, so I am hoping our luggage gets here soon!!

We love it too, but then, we are partial.

You could add onto VWL through Disney if you wanted to. The minimum amount is 25 points, but you'd have to pay cash at that level. The minimum amount with financing through Disney is 50 points.

Anyways....
The parks are EMPTY! No waits, walked right on Soarin' no line for Test Track.
Supersupersuper hot, though.
We had an issue with the bus leaving Epcot - it was a 55 minute wait. I found a bus driver, and he immediately contacted dispatch, and the bus came in 5 minutes.
I will have to write about our Yachtsmans Dinner -- I don't think I have ever been treated so royally.
Right now, the Mouse is calling me to have dinner with him - I will write more later.
I LOVE IT HERE!!!!!!

Glad you're enjoying VWL. We bought SSR in May and our first trip home is early December in a 2BR with family. Share the love. We waitlisted for VWL but decided it was unlikely we would get it plus we wanted to stay at SSR our first time. We will definately visit VWL and WL in December to see the decorations. And GF, and CR, etc.

Did he say why? Is it possible they are offering the extensions soon and he doesn't want you to add on until after that so your contract has the extended years?

Be patient. There are many other resorts to visit. You never know what your favorite is until you visit them all. Hope your remaining weather is perfect.

We have had the most wonderful trip! Everyone is so nice, friendly, just excellent!
We have had two bus issues in two days.
65 minute wait to leave Epcot yesterday.
115 minute wait to leave HS today. (I was pretty mad, I admit it.) Everyone in line got on their cell phones to the resort and we were all told that they would send a bus right away. It was another 10 minutes or so, so that was pretty fast. But we had to call first.
But after I got on the bus, I said "ok, that's over, time to go find some magic!" So I won't complain anymore.
This resort is so beautiful, I just am in LOVE!

I'm glad to hear that the parks are not crowded, very glad. We will be there next week (sadly, not at our beloved VWL).
