My family and I are looking at going to WDW December 8th - 15th 2007. I am planning on just using the WDW website where you pay the $200 deposit and then monthly or whatever as long as it is paid in full 45 days before we get there. (I learned this on another thread!!) Anyway, I don't know anything about these codes that you guys talk about. Can someone fill me in please? Also, if I have this package and room reserved and am paying for it and a code comes out does that mean I am SOL? Maybe the code thing is just for people making spur of the moment trips???! Maybe I should quit trying to figure it out by myself and just wait for one of you fabulous DiS'ers to help me out. Thanks! BTW we are looking at staying at CSR. Man it sure does look beautiful!

You can go ahead and book your trip now on the website. Then I would say probably around October, start looking at mousesavers.com or this website to see if Disney will be coming out with specials. If something does come out for your timeframe, you MAY be able to have Disney rebook your reservation at the new rate. I say they may be able to because sometimes the number of rooms for any given special may be limited.

Just an FYI, this year codes came out for Oct-Dec on August 17th. Just keep an eye on this site and mousesavers so you don't miss out on a code. You can have the trip paid in full and apply a code if there is one available for your stay. As long as you make changes before the 45 day in advance mark you won't have to pay a change fee.
