At the park now. Crowds are light!

Got here early and was surprised at how light the crowds were! 10:30 now and still relatively light.

Managed to be first on PP and scored 2,096,100 on my fourth game of Buzz. That's virtually the highest score possible (until it’s fixed, if that ever happens)!

There was a massive line at 7:00 at the Disney store. I learned that it was for the new Pop toys that came out today.











If I'd scored just a few more points, I would have exceeded 2,096,900 and my score would have been reset; I'd have lost everything. That happened to me twice last Sunday! For those that haven't seen it, I wrote a letter to the president of DL parks and another to a VP of experiences in which I explain the issue and asked that it be addressed. It's been a problem for nearly two years and I've already pointed it out to Guest Relations -- in person and on the phone -- as well as CM leads at the attraction itself, all to no avail. Hopefully my letter helps to get the problem resolved. At this point (well, at a point several months ago), I'm beginning to believe that this is actually intentional.

You're correct. It felts like crowds were growing when I left at around 12:30. As I left the parking structure, I saw that the line to get in stretched well beyond the entrance.

Well, had a stressful, unpleasant day yesterday and I knew Jim was going so I set my alarm for 5:00 and booked it to the park this morning. Left around 12:30 to get back to LA to do some writing. I find that walking in the morning is a great warm-up for whatever. 3.5 miles gets me nice and primed to write/create. I'll also go this Sunday and Halloween -- my favorite holiday -- as well. Woo hoo!

The crowding at DCA on Friday night was due to the non-MHP guests having to leave DL at 7 pm when the party started. That's when a wave of people headed for DCA. Plus, you had party guests using their park hopper privileges and going back and forth between the parks all night, too. I noticed earlier in the day that Disney had extended DCA's hours to midnight, which told me they were expecting larger crowds there. Apparently, they guessed correctly!
