have steak and scallops as opposed to steak and shrimp for the combo?

1) I do not believe scallops would be a sub for shrimp.
2) You could try, but do not be disappointed if not allowed.

I agree, but thought I'd throw it out to the disers to see if anyone had had it happen. The price is the same for the shrimp if you order it as only scallops but we all know that scallops are a heck of a lot more expensive than shrimp (at least they are in my side of the world)

You used to be able to choose steak and scallops back when it was Teppan Yaki....

However the last few times...as "Teppan Edo"...as I recall....

Steak and Shrimp is the option....BUT you can add scallops as a "Side" or "appetizer" type addition.... (ie. "add scallops for $9" )

I LOVE STEAK AND SCALLOPS!!! But I didn't opt for it...because we were on DDP and I didn't want to come out of pocket for any extras.....

So I think it's an option that you would pay extra for..."Steak and Shrimp with Scallops"

That being said..you can always TRY to substitute ...but it's likely I already tried to...although I can't specifically recall....

1) The scallops and shrimp are the same price for main dishes.
2) The shrimp with the dinner combo are smaller.
3) That is my thinking behind not allowing a substitution.
4) But, maybe yes.

I knew there had to be a catch smaller shrimp. I will ask and will report back on the response, we are also on DDP and I will NOT be paying $9 extra for a few scallops.

i was at a table last wed where the other family asked that exact same question and the server said she could make no subsitutions. But it never hurts to ask. Maybe you'll find someone in a giving mood? Maybe the rules changed just yesterday? And that was for lunch so maybe dinner's different. good luck!

btw. I had the scallops & THEY WERE DELICIOUS!!!
