At OKW right now!

Good morning everyone! We checked into OKW yesterday and are staying in a Grand Villa, this is our first time in a grand and boy it doesn't disappoint. I am siting in the living room of room 1523 the sun is shining and it looks to be the start of a beautiful day..

We went to Magic Kingdom last night after a suprisingly good dinner at Planet Hollywood! The MK wasn't as packed as I expected it to be for a Sat night. We hit all of the big stuff in about an hour and half and then headed back to the resort! I am anxious to see what the crowds are like today and the rest of the week..i know what TGM was calling for, but so far I am not buying into it.

todays plans are chef mickeys breakfast, for my FMIL that is what she wanted to do on mothers day then off to EPCOT for the morning and probably back to MK for EMH this evening. I will try to get some pics up later this evening and get the crowd reports back to you as well!

I am only a little jealous, we will be checking into our first OKW GV on 6/14 building 25. Word has it they are freshly renovated.

I can't imagine a better Mother's Day than a GV at OKW-surrounded by family --be it actual relatives or my Disney family!

Good afternoon everyone! thanks for all of the comments! this morning started off rough. we waited the longest I have ever waited for a bus almost an hour! We were tryin to get the MK bus to go to Chef Mickeys for Breakfast! The manager of the buses said there was a fire somewhere and that was backing everything up. We finally go there and had a wonderful breakfast! Right now we are relaxing before heading out again later this afternoon. We are probably going to head to DHS to do TOT!

Too bad about the wait - but I would say a fire is an extraordinary circumstance so it should be a sign of long wait for the upcoming week. I plan to do Chef Mickey's for dinner on our upcoming trip with my 4 year old niece and she just loves Mickey. Enjoy the rest of your Mother's Day and I can't wait to see some pictures.

We stayed in that same GV last time we had one reserved a couple years ago. I LOVE that location. We always sent the kids out to check on the bus, and when they saw the bus we wanted heading for Miller's Road, we all quickly went over to Hospitality House to catch the bus. We are currently in a 1 bedroom down at 46 (our favorite building), and the odd thing is that they put us in the same unit we were in this past January!

I loved every minute of it! We are not right near the quiet pool, but its a short walk away. I am looking forward to going exploring today, we might head over to Kidani, but not totally sure yet! I want to get some good pics of the resort and I will get them uploaded as soon as my DF fixes the Macbook!

Am soooo jealous, I would love to be at OKW now as my last visit was April 2008 for 2 weeks.

#1523, is the the GV that has the view of a fountain/golfcourse from the balcony, where the golfers actually have to shoot it over the water to the green on the other side! If so, we've stayed in that one, and let me tell you, the golfers alone are entertaining, I've never seen such frustration at trying to land a little ball on the other side and not in the water!

Enjoy! nothing beats a GV!

Wondering if anyone on here has any pictures of a studio. I have been to OKW before and LOVE IT!!! But usually stay in a 1BR with family. Want to do a friend trip and thought a studio would work best.
