At OKW now

On the bus as I type (returning from Hoop De Doo). I think we're in love! My hubby has declared this DVC to be his new favorite. The room is beautiful, my kids are really enjoying the pool, and transportation has been fantastic. Now I need to find another small Sept contract (we're ROFR for a50 pointer).

OKW has been my favorite resort for many years! When I drive into the resort, the palm trees near the Hospitality House overwhelm me with joy. I also love the palm trees that line the river. I've taken many photographs of the lush landscaping. Have Fun!!!

Agree! OKW is the best! We did just try AKV Kidani after 7 nights at OKW at Easter...but it wasn't "home" to us. There is just something for our family that draws us over and over and over to OKW! We aren't going back until next May now and I am already missing it! Enjoy!

Lucky! We absolutely LOVE OKW. So much so, that I just booked a 1BR for Jan. 20-27, 2012! Whoop! Now I have Oct. and F & W to look forward to at BWV AND OKW in the new year.

Glad you enjoyed OKW, our home resort since 1992. We love OKW, we have stayed at other DVC resorts but nothing feels like home to us the way OKW does.

We stayed there twice before becoming DVC members last spring. I just said to DH today that I think we need a trip back there. It's so lush and the rooms are fantastic. It's an easy place to love.

All these positive posts are music to my ears. We are staying there July 3 -5 and can't wait now. Our first time staying at an DVC was there but it wasn't very memorable. It was before the renovations and even though they moved us to a better and cleaner room it wasn't the best. I am so glad to hear all this though. Looking forward to July!

Looking forward to my 5 night stay at OKW in December. Canceled my VWL reservation when I had to change dates and couldn't get it for all 5 nights. I know so many people love this resort, so I hope I am one of then!

I kind of wondered about that. When they first opened SSR and people mentioned the lack of lush landscaping that OKW has, I knew palm trees grow very fast, and wondered how the landscaping at OKW was many years ago.

We just got home yesterday afternoon from seven wonderful nights at OKW in a GV. We thought it was so nice and wouldn't mind living in that one forever.

This was maybe our 12th stay at OKW and all of them have been outstanding. Never had a bad villa. We've stayed at Turtle Pond at least three times. South Point at least three times. All the new buildings (62, 63 and 64). First stay in 27 (or was it 28). Two times on Millers Road.

We bought at OKW because it is mature landscaping, huge rooms and lush property. It is what we want when we go to WDW in Florida. We want to get that laid back, Florida feeling. I love the colours and that they play Jimmy Buffett!

Love that OKW feeling! No other resort gives me that "home" feeling. We have been members since 93 and enjoy staying at different resorts but they just don't give us that welcome home feeling like OKW does.
