Sorry, y'all! I hadn't had a chance to check in until now! "Our" baby (and yes, he gets to belong to all of us here!!) weighs 3 pounds and 6 ounces right now (we're at 30 weeks). His head size is measuring in the 90th percentile, but the circumference is only in about the mid-30th percentile (more normal than the size). DH & I both have very large heads (that sounds weird, I know!), so we figure he comes by it honestly! The dr said that all together, he was measuring about 5-6 days bigger than they thought. She said they'd check it again the next time, since my uterus is still measuring larger.

He has turned and is the right way, which is always good. However, he's a little contortionist, and he decided to pull both feet over his face on the ultrasound--no rotating the body, just pulling the feet over his face! See what I have to look forward to!

DH & I are, of course, so very excited!! I can't believe our due date (or even before) will be here so soon!!

OOOHHHH Brooke,
He sounds like he's doing so well. I bet you just can not wait! I love to hear the updates- so thank you! It's always nice to know that he's in the right way. Love that he's pulling his feet over his face. Kinda like "look what I can do mom and dad"!!!

wow! they must have lots of s**w days! i know that way up in NY they get tons of the white stuff.

They DIDN'T use all their snow days.
It's just the way the state has the year set up. They have these state exams that they call "Regents". And every student, of that each grade they are taken, in every school sits down at the same time to take the tests.
When they use more snow days, they to the very end of June.

Yay Brooke, thanks for the update! It sounds like he is doing well. We are in the big head catagory as well- both kids have 90th percentile heads. And just fyi- Old Navy's kids shirts are hard to get over big heads!

Both my boys have big heads.
My eldest is only 9, gonna be 10 on the 15th, and his head is too big for an adult s/m hat. It just fits my little bit. It fits me fine.

I could not imagine the kids going to still through June.. and trying to get them in bed when the days are longer.. Good grief!

The big head thing was a laugh yesterday to DH & I. When I was in high school and our senior class had cap and gown pics made, I had to have the biggest size cap that they made FOR THE BOYS because my head was so big. The photographer made fun of me!! When I met DH later on in college, I was shocked that we wore the same size fitted baseball cap. My brother's head is the exact same size as ours, too. I guess SIOLB will fit right in!

Thanks for the "heads up" about Old Navy T-shirts. In fact, DH doesn't like the one for men's either, because he says they're too tight in the neck (which would make me think they're also hard to get over his head!!)

AWM--are you coming to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg any time soon? We definitely need to meet up!!

Nancy--As far as I know, we're still a go for the 14th! What time will y'all be coming through?

Thanks, everyone, for the support and for the well-wishes! In some ways, 10 weeks 'til the due date seems like forever, and in other ways, I keep thinking, "Whoa, it's going to be here before we know it!!"
