Oh MAN! Guess what today is?? Ugh, it's my DH's BIRTHDAY. He hates big to-dos, so don't usually do much. But the fact that I forgot is not a good thing. :sad1: Guess I'll be driving the little ones to school so I can swing by Kroger and get a little cake. The boys will be making their own cards, because DH hates the thought of spending money on throw away things. I guess I'll be making a Cricut card before working on the angel spots.

Well, there goes that plan. No school or children's corner at the gym today b/c of weather. Which is funny b/c it's only supposed to rain with maybe a little sleet up here today. :confused3 Now I really, really want to go picnicing with Dyan. :laughing:

And if it does get bad today, I'm going to have to figure out something for dinner tonight. We're supposed to go out to eat when we pick up my inlaws. But if everything's closing :confused3

Anyone else have school cancelled today?

Happy Birthday to your Dh! But oh no that you forgot. At least you didn't forget completely and totally, now *that* would have been bad. It sounds like if you get a cake and make him cards, he will be really happy. :thumbsup2

HE would have been happy if I just let completely slide. He is soo not into celebrating - anything. His family is that way. They don't do big to-dos about their own things. I don't even know when their anniversary is. :confused3 But they do always have something special for the kids' birthdays. Cake & a special outing close to the day {when we can be there}, presents, and a card sent for the actual day. But never do anything for each other. Weird. But I'm learning. It sure does make it easy to forget though.

I can see why that would be easy to forget. Did we marry into the same family? :rotfl: Dh's family is kind of the same way. I think they only time they celebrate their birthdays/anniversaries is when I make them dinner and buy cakes/presents etc. Birthdays are a huge deal in my family. We're italian, we'll find any excuse to have a party. :lmao:

My inlaws do make a big deal out of the girls birthday though. It's actually pretty sweet. They've been gone for the whole month of January, but they flew home for 6 hours on Dd#1's birthday. :lovestruc

Hey Buffy, which Becky Higgin's sketch book did you get? Did you get the one with all of her sketches in it?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My day got shot. DH and I both have food poisoning. He undercooked the turkey we had for dinner last night and we both got up around 2:00am. I'm so weak I don't feel like doing much of anything. Of course, this means that I got a 3-day weekend but I don't much care for the method it came by. Of course, DH is already feeling better but I still feel like crap.
Sorry to hear about all of the s**w y'all are dealing with. The sun is actually out here today for the first time in a week. At least it's not raining.
Late check in:
Question: What is an angel spot?
It goes back to our swapping (as most everything does if it doesn't go back to shopping. When someone is unable to fill the group they signed up for we have someone angel it (take there place) rather than sending back the person who created each item an extra of it.
