Hi I am getting married in Scotland, March 2012 with hopefully lots of disney touches and planning our WDW disneymoon which we will hold of until November 2012.

I hope you will enjoy reading about our wedding & disneymoon and hopefully with help me with some decisions.

I have been going to WDW for a number of years now and managed to persuade my DF to go one year and now we go every year (except this year lol)

My DF proposed to me at Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party on 9th November 2010. At the end of the party he asked the photopass person to take our photo in front of the castle and then he dropped to one knee. I don't remember what he said but I do remember saying yes! We checked the photopass the next day on Main Street and the photographer managed to capture the moment. The photo is a great memory and is beautiful with the castle all lit up behind us. I got them to add the words to the bottom of the photo to say Where dreams come true :cloud9:

Congratulations! And I love the proposal, cute story! I can't wait to hear all about your at home Disney wedding... I'm also having an at home wedding!

Hey!

Yay another UK bride! :) Congratulations to you both! Cant wait to hear more from you!

Ok so I thought I should start by showing where I am in the planning stage:

Here are my shoes:

I have got one bridesmaid my best friend, her dress is the adult dress on the right. The purple colour is my favourite and will be our 'colour'.

My hairband
On the internet site it calls it a tiara but when I tried it on in the shop I thought it was a hairband and so I shall wear it like a hairband. I have also got a veil too but can't find a picture online. I will take a photo on my camera and post it soon. Not sure if I feel brave enough to post a picture of my dress as my DF is also on the boards!

Hi yes I ordered my dress just before the new year to avoid the dreaded VAT increase and cost of fabric increase. It's ivory satin with a tuille overlay I won't get it till Feb 2012.

A bit nervous about it as they ordered it a size bigger than what I am and I have been loosing weight. The shop said they can take it in two sizes and they say a size 10 on the high street is a size 12 in designer/wedding. Have you got your dress?

Love your shoes and BM dress!! Very pretty!!!
Your headband is gorgeous! I'm wearing a headband too!
I posted my dress and DF got on the boards and saw it! So it's wise to maybe not post it if he likes to read your pj :)

Thank you :flower3: I prefer headbands to tiaras. Did you keep the same dress after your DF seen it? My DF has had a few accidental looks but im not too worried, i'm not a superstitious person. As soon as he catches a glimpse he looks away quickly lol picutes are soo different what we will look like on the day.

Hey everyone thought I would update you on our progress. We went to our wedding venue for our tasting to decide what our menu will be on the day :yay:

Granny Smith Sorbet
(apple sorbet - no picture just a small portion of sorbet on it's own)

Main Course
tournedos of naturally reared beef fillet with gratin of wild mushrooms, potato and herb rosti, bearnaise sauce and red wine fumet

Dessert
glazed orange tart, strawberry jus with mascarpone ice cream.

Tea/coffee with petit fours

For the evening buffet we will have penfolds which are bread rolls with a selection of bacon, potato scone, sausage with tea/coffee and of course there will be wedding cake!

I have seen a figurine in WDW in a shop on main street USA, it looks like a bride and groom with mickey ears on their heads. It is called Precious Moments Disney Collection "Magically Ever After" Figurine. I have found places online like amazon etc where people are selling the figurine but I can only find American sellers. The cost of shipping would be very expensive. Does anyone know a UK site where I can buy this? I would love this to be our cake topper.

If you are unsure of what this is type the following into google images and you will see what I'm looking for:

Your food looks delicious! Nice choices.

Unfortunately, I don't know too much about places that might have that item and ship to the UK. If I come across any I will let you know!

Thanks :) I'm trying to find things that will add the disney touch but I'm finding it hard as the UK market doesn't have a lot of choice.
