How did you word your at home open house/reception invites? Did you send seperate announcements?

Our open house is going to be 2 weeks after we get back from WDW. We're trying to figure out if we're going to send out just one batch of announcements/open house invites or if we're going to split it up between the people who will/might come and the folks we know won't make the trip (elderly & way out of towners). We're also trying to think of a clever way to mention the small ceremony without making peopled feel left out.

In other good news, I finally got ahold of Rev Jack Day and Chapman Photog and was able to officially confirm my date with them. Two big things off my to-do list. Otherwise, we've eased up on the wedding planning a bit. We were both going nuts trying to think of every possible detail at once. I find that I'm actually able to function in the real world now! :rotfl2:

I didn't do announcements, everyone was just invited to the party. Here's the wording I used, I found it on one of those verse sites.

He slipped the ring on her finger
a promise made for life...
Join us as we share their joy
now that they're man and wife!
A party to honor the newly married
Mr. & Mrs.
will be held on July 17
at 5:00 pm

Somewhere in there I threw in the names of the moms who were hosting (I think right around the date of the party). I figured that way all the people being invited would recognize someone's last name since we had several represented. I didn't want anyone getting it and going who is Melissa New last name

Congrats on getting Rev. Day and Randy you will seriously not be dissapointed.

Melissa
