DW and I are currently at the Dolphin and we have had a lot of problems with our stay. I'm not sure what can be done to salvage this stay, since we check-out tomorrow and since I'm not sure who is working today (Christmas Eve), but I really want to express my displeasure to someone "higher up." I've never done anything like this, but I'm very disappointed at the extent that the Dolphin has failed us on this trip. Thank you.

Happy Holidays, Everyone!

What kind of problems?

Should'a expressed your displeasure as soon as the second problem (if not the first problem) came up, going up the management chain one by one.

Should'a acted early so you could have asked for comps and perks (including room discounts and restaurant entrees) and enjoyed those during your stay.

Try to describe the problem in writing before talking to the second higher-up. This helps you describe it completely and helps prevent emotions from taking over.

Sorry to hear that you are having a bad experience at the Dolphin. It's always best to speak with the manager on duty when major problems arise. If no manager is available, find out the name of the manager of the property, and write him a letter when you get home.

Hope that you had a good time on your trip despite the problems.

I have styaed at the Dolphin twice. Once 2001 and again in summer 2004. In 2001 great stay! In 2004 not so great ....we had a Jr. suite Mom and Mil in one side myself husband and children in the other.. Our first nigth they checked someone else into our room...AT 1:OO IN THE MORNING...and security was trying to tell us that we were in the wrong room until he saw our paper work from check in....next morning I spoke to a manager at the front desk.....She call back later and told us they would comp our room for night. I called her back and thank her. we also had 2 days in which our rooms were not cleaned.....one day I asked a maid if they had made it to our rooom and she was very rude and told me to call the front desk... I did make a call but it was to Hotel Manager...he was not in so I spoke to his assistant...he gave me the number directly to his office and told me if I had any trouble to call him directly. Later in the day we had a tlelphone message that the would comp us another night....I called him and told him thank you and that we not looking for anything free just a hassle free vacation! hope things work out okay for you and enjoy the rest of your vacation!

Go to the front desk and ask to speak to the Manager on Duty, whatever the General Manager could/would do for you, the Manager on Duty has the identical authority to assist you. I was a Front Office Manager over 2 years ago at the Dolphin and worked many holidays--I assure you the Manager on Duty can and will assist you!

Curious, what problems have you encountered? Please share, maybe I could give some insight!

Happy Holidays!

Definitely talk to someone today. The Swan/Dolphin is very good about giving a room credit

Make sure you make it known that you are disatisfied with your stay. You can invoke the Sheraton promise by pressing star 67 (I think it is 67). You will get extra starwood points and some other type of comp. The only way they can fix your problem is if you let them know what is wrong. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

It's best to address problems when they happen, not save them up until the end of the stay. The best thing to do, in general, is call the front desk with a problem--if they do not help you, ask for the manager.

We're at the Dolphin right now as well and have had no problems what so ever. If you are displease -like the others said - go talk to a manager - don't wait until you get home.

So sorry to read about your disappointment with your Dolphin visit. I certainly hope you have taken the advice of all the posters, and contacted someone in the management office. There is ALWAYS someone on duty whom can/will properly assist you with regards to any problem. As someone else wrote, *66 offers wonderful service, and also incorporates the invaluable "Sheraton Promise" which insures a problem-free stay.

I would urge you to call and speak with someone in the front office prior to your departure. Most problems can be ameliorated expeditiously, and with mutual satisfaction, if the matter is brought to the attention of the management team as soon as possible.

Again, I'm very sorry to read of your trouble. We have always enjoyed our visits to the WDW Dolphin. Any problems we have experienced over the years have been amended immediately with one phone call. It's this consideration, and attention to customer service, which keeps us returning to this wonderful property.

Please, post the results of your contact with management. Happy Holidays! Hope you enjoyed the parks, and time spent with your loved ones.
