From what I've heard, you can ... but usually not very well.

Honestly, why not just ask a CM, Disney Guest Services or at City Hall? All of those sources are excellent as well.

We're back at the hotel right now planing the rest of the evening! And I know I can get a quick, accurate answer here!

I sure wish I was at Disneyland right now. I went last summer. I don't think my wallet will allow me to go this year.

Some tables are closer to the street and some further back. Other people may be trying to do the same as you. I don't know if they allow you to wait for a particular table area.

***However, even if you are seated closer to Main St. there will be people walking by on the sidewalk constantly and others lined up along the curbside, standing during the parade. There are also umbrellas over the tables that block looking up higher. There may be other diners waiting to be seated that could be standing in front of the cafe area. All of these things will obstruct your view. The odds of seeing much from your table are really poor. If it was a good viewing area EVERYONE would be trying for it.

yes you can, we did twice, just try to sit in the middle of the patio. Then you can see over the people walking by. My kids loved it

We did. We were at the edge of the railing. It wasn't fabulous, but a nice way to spend diner!

YES absolutely.

Go there early and find a table that you can see clearly.

I suggest the PATIO too.
