I am very pleasantly surprised with the resort. We got a brand new unit in building closest to the main building on the left if facing the lake. Room 974 close to spanish fort/lazy river pool, but far from pool with the slide! Asked for a fireworks view and it is almost a dead on view of Spaceship Earth on the 9th floor. Saw Illuminations and Wishes on checkin night.
I'll post pics later.

Do you know the bldg number? Does your bldg have only wired internet access? Sounds really awesome! I go on 8/9 and cannot wait..:thumbsup2

I just got back from Tower 4 (Cielo), in 1078---I think that's the same tower as Kanga's. I could see Spaceship Earth standing in my kitchen. Great view of Illuminations, plus Wishes in the distance.

As far as I know, all of the rooms are wired-only. I bring a pocket-sized travel router with me so that I can work wirelessly.

You guys have me excited for my trip in 22 days! Even though we aren't able to do Disney, we're still going to have fun!

Can you or Brian Noble (if you're reading this) tell me if they need a credit card upon check in and if we do, do they put a hold amt on it? I'm using my debit card for this trip (no charging or I'd be going to Disney) and I need to be prepared.

Thanks guys,

Now I just need to figure out which building to request. Fireworks, lazy river, putt-putt?????:confused3 to many choices.

We are also here at Bonnet Creek as I write this. Asked for either Bldg. 3 or 5 and was given Bldg. 3, Unit 556. We are facing the lake and to the left of us we should be able to see fireworks. This is our first day here and is raining just a bit right now, but looks like it will move out quickly. Am very impressed with the unit, couldn't ask for anything better.

Yes, there is internet access, just literally plugged in the laptop and we were good to go. Will post more later!

I requested Bldg 5, that is what someone had said was a good one. Since it is wired internet, is there more than one hook up? I wanted to bring my lap-top & one for my DD's. I don't have a portable router.. I should look into that maybe.. ;) A friend of mine owns a computer shop, maybe he has one I can borrow.. :thumbsup2 I will have to ask.

hows the transportation situation like? This is one of the few things holding us back from staying there.

I did not bring the transportation sheet home. My recollection is that there are two routes: one to MK/EP, one to DS/AK, every half hour from 8 to noonish or oneish, a small gap, every hour or so early afternoon, then again every half hour in the evening. Bonnet Creek is also central enough to WDW property that cabs from most anywhere will be reasonable.

It would be sufficient for a groups that splits off once or twice, but if it were me, I would not stay here without a rental car. In truth, I almost never stay onsite without a rental car either---and after my last OKW stay with two 35+ minute waits for MK buses in the afternoons, I'm even less enamored of Disney transportation.

I have been considering this resort. Your comments make me even more curious. Sounds like a gem. Glad you are enjoying it. The view sounds amazing.

so building 3, 4, 5 or 6 - seems to be the ones to pick.

guess building 1 or 2 does not get the great views??
