Been at Aulani since aug 3, today is august 5 and the in-room wi-fi basically isn't functional.
Complained to the front desk, said they are working on it.
In the hallway, yes it works, in the lobby, sure thing, down by the ocean, of course, but in our two bedroom villa? Nope!

Very frustrating, anyone else here experiencing similar problems?

Weird. We have horrible wifi at VGC right now but I don't remember trouble any time at Aulani so far. GL!

Have you tried using your cellphone and doing internet connection sharing from it?

That's what I always do if the internet connection is sluggish.

I would follow up and ask for a manager if they can't give you a good answer. You are paying for free WIFI in your room, even if it is only via the Annual dues Aulani owners like myself pay.

It's possible that that room always has weak WiFi due to it's location and the location of the access point or router. Ask to be transferred to the IT people, maybe a reset will improve things.

We were there in may in Ewa tower, 12th Floor. Wifi was great. But at the pool it was awful. I have unlimited data on Verizon so I just used data if needed.

we have had problems in past visits as well. It wasn't great in kitchen / living area but the one bedroom was better. In evening, the bedroom was crowded with everyone checking in. We actually have a picture of family all crowded in that is pretty hilarious.

You're in Hawaii, why sit around in the room, go explore the island.
Thanks for the snark but at 9pm when the kids want to watch Netflix or post their days adventures seems like your advice is not helpful.

IT says "they are aware of general connectivity issues throughout the resort and are working on a solution but do not have an ETA on a fix" which in non-customer service speak means they don't know what the problem is or if it can be fixed.

We are in room 1050. If you come here and want wi-fi and they assign you this room, I'd run the other way.
There is absolutely no signal in the room most of the time.

On the balcony you can get some signal but seems like the Four Seasons has a stronger signal.

First trip in 2013, speeds were 50mbps all over the resort. Last fall we definitely had some issues all over. Very slow or useless at the pool. Crazy how things changed in three years because it was blazing fast in 2013 for Disney. The at&t distributed antenna system throughout the resort pumped out good speeds--but that of course uses one's data plan.

Back in April our WiFi was not that great. We were 10th floor Ewa overlooking the golf course.
