At a loss.

This is turning in to a bumpy ride. GF breaks it off AT Disneyland to run back to ex about a week ago. Two days ago the dog gets hit and killed by a car. Now, I just got off the phone with my mom who called to tell me my Uncle Donny had just had a fatal heart attack. He was in remission from cancer, pronounced clear on my BDay (3/12) and now he gets taken by a heart attack. The same day Donny was pronounced clear another dear friend passed from cancer. It just seems to keep coming. Im a combat vet. Ive faced losses but when does it stop? Id go to Disney but right now thats a place of painful memories too and Im not sure what to do with all this piling up on me. Heads kind of spinning. Im at a loss...just kind of numb.

I'm so sorry for all your pain. 13 years ago I had what seemed to be a curse on my family. I was diagnosed with lymphoma, my brother was also diagnosed with the same cancer 8 months after me. He died a year later from the cancer. My grandmother died 1 month before my diagnosis from an other kind of lymphoma! If that crazy horrible stuff wasn't enough my sister-in-law was then diagnosed with breast cancer, my DH had a stroke and, my aunt died of ovarian cancer, my cousin was diagnosed with lymphoma just like my brother and I. Last but by no means least my dad had to have open heart surgery. All of this happened in a matter of three short horrible years. Most people I tell this to just don't believe all this could happen to one family pretty much all at once. But it did and guess what we made it through!

I call it my horrible blessing. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. But to tell you the truth what a blessing it is to be here to talk about it and it has taught me to appreciate everyday and never postpone things you want and can do. Trust me it took a good 5 years to fully come to this conclusion and there were times I thought I never would. Don't give up things will get better! I'm living proof of it!
