At 1:25 PM today, I lost my Dad

I put the smiley face because I am celebrating him going to be with the Lord. My prayers were for him to be comfortable during his last hours. He was and I am soooooo happy. Many tears will be shed, especially by me because I am the baby of 6 children. He was my HERO! Please do not feel sorry for me or my family. Instead, please join me in celebrating the life of my father (Stanley Henrey Kita Sr.)

It's a joyous celebration because I know that my father had the Lord in his heart. God bless you all. I just praythat you can all have the family support group

What a wonderful outlook you have Adam! I fel the same way about my own father especially after he passed, I am the baby of 4 and the only girl, he was my hero as well.

Even knowing that a loved one is saved and is now with the Lord it is very courageous and comendable that you can remember that at this time. Having gone through it myself I know how hard it is to not be selfish and mourn your loss rather than being joyous over knowing your father is in Heaven. Our prayers will be with you.

Adam... I know exactly how you feel. My dad passed away the end of 1999. Through his sickness he came to know the Lord. The two months he lived after that were nothing short of amazing, just watching how the Lord worked through his life!

On the day he did pass away, we were at the hospital and he had died, his heart had given out. We went back into the room where he was, and I can't explain it, but I felt my Spirit leap within me... all I could think of was "Wow, he is there (with Jesus) right now!! I didn't feel sad at all, I just felt a sense of wonder and a confirmation of everthing that I myself believe. Even though my dad is gone, I know I will see him again! Take comfort in that brother!

My prayers are with you though, because the next few days/weeks will be trying. Hang in there and Praise the Lord!

Jesus is my savior and I know that my dad is with him tonight. The Bible tells me that he will be at peace with himself. I just pray that the Lord can shower mercy upon my Daddy so he can be at peace with the world. Please Lord Jesus make you face to shine upon my father and bless him and all who support him.
