How about going "armed with intent"?

Is that a charge, or have I been watching too much cop TV?

I guess what they are saying is..how does one prove intent without a paper trail or a spoken word.

The victim claims she has been stalked for 2 months.

I would personally like to see charges about how the suspect inappropriately used her access in order to track down the victim's travel plans.

Not a charge in the state of Florida.

Lisa, those would most likely be federal charges for accessing records.

I find this interesting that this is a defense to "attempted" charges:
(a) Abandoned his or her attempt to commit the offense or otherwise prevented its commission;

She had the stuff, but maybe she decided she just wanted to talk.

As to intent, I would think she either needs to confess, there needs to be a witness (not heresay) or there needs to be some sort of written proof or just some sort of proof in general. The items are just circumstantial evidence at this point (though she could have been charged with a concealed weapons charge because of the knife).

Well, we obviously do not have all of the info the police or DA, so it's all just speculation. The DA is the one who decided to add attempted murder, not sure why. I think the attempted kidnapping part could hold water, considering the stuff she had and trying to get into the victims car, spraying mace on her when she refused...

Interesting case. I think she intended to kill her, not that it means anything, but I don't believe she just wanted to talk to her.

It may depend on what the victim said happened. (just to elaborate on what I mentioned earlier). She could have said, "I am going to kill you" or a similar threat...I don't know. Obviously, the victims testimony could be very damaging and not be considered hearsay. Also, the victim had to physically get away from her, she didn't just walk away. So, she may have a hard time showing that she had a change of heart.

You know, I think the only reason it wasn't carried out is because Colleen beat Lisa to the car. Can you imagine Lisa beating Colleen to Orlando after sitting in pee for 9 hours only to have Colleen beat her from the shuttle to her cotton pickin' car?

Retraining order. I don't know if one has to appear at an injunction hearing, it may just be her counsel, but maybe more info will come out.

translation: they are having an affair... there is no doubt in my mind. I was so surprised that Greg Behrendt (author of He's Just Not That Into You) told Nancy Grace, when asked, that yes, he thought this could be a fantasy on Lisa's part and perhaps there was no affair. No no no, this is one time Greg is dead wrong. C'mon, Lisa had access to Oefelein's email! They were an item. I'd stake my case of Depends on it.

ps. I think Oefelein is probably very handsome in person. I think that is just a goofy picture of him.

oh boy, would I LOVE to see the email correspondence Lisa has of Oefelein and Colleen.

I wish I wasn't enjoying this story so much because it is really very sad.

She's Navy - I believe a Captain.
