Can I ride the Astro Orbiter with 1 adult and 2 kids? My son is 4 and is about 40 inches tall, so he would ride with me. My daughter is 6 but tall (48 inches tall). Since I don't think the three of us would fit in one vehicle (or maybe, yes?), would they let her ride in a vehicle solo? Would she have to lie and say she's 7? I remember last year they let her ride in a Dumbo vehicle solo and she was about 45 inches tall then (no one asked her age!). Thanks :-)

I don't think those cars hold 3...if they did, even with 2 small kids, I wouldn't want to try. IMO, best bet would be to say DD6 is 7 years old.

Only 2 riders per vehicle. Ride rules for solo riders are typically based on height, not age.

I can't find height rules for solo riders on the website. I know I've read on here that even though you meet minimum ride for 7DMT you have to be 7 to ride in a cart without your parents.

I rode it with my 3 and 5 year old. They didn't say anything about having three of us in there. I needed DH's help to get us situated and to help get the little ones out afterward cause I was crammed in too much to be able to assist them. (He was riding with our 4 year old).

That's good to know just in case we do need to cram in there, thanks!

You should be fine with the three of you fitting (though it may be a little snug).

There is actually a sign on the ride that says "2 or 3 Earthlings per Rocket."

At WDW, a child has to be at least 7 years old to ride alone. Any child under 7 has to ride with someone that is at least 14 or older. For rides that have multiple rows in the same vehicle/car, such as Pooh, SDMT, Pirates, the younger children could ride in front of those 14+. For rides without the multiple rows per vehicle/car, such as Astro Orbiter, Barnstormer, Peter Pan, kids under 7 have to have someone 14+ next to them.

My cousin has twins, that were 4 when we went this past June. There are very few things they can ride together at this age, so Triceratops Spin was great as they could ride together with an adult right behind them. We could not sit in front of them though and it made sense once we realized you could not reach out to them if needed.

This is exactly the information that I was looking for! Thank you :-)
